NEW YORK (AP) — Lara Flynn Boyle will return to series television when she joins the cast of the NBC drama Las Vegas this fall.

As a 'Las Vegas' newcomer, Boyle will portray a flamboyant casino owner.

Flynn Boyle, who played Assistant District Attorney Helen Gamble on The Practice (1997-2003), will portray the flamboyant new owner of the Montecito Resort & Casino.

"Obviously, we're excited to have someone with the style and panache of Lara Flynn Boyle as we head into a season of transition for Las Vegas, " Gary Scott Thompson, the series' creator and executive producer, said in a recent statement.

"She will add even more story potential and star power to what is already a supercharged cast playing against the backdrop of a dynamic city."

James Caan stars as Ed Deline, the head of the surveillance team for the Montecito Casino. The cast also includes Josh Duhamel, Molly Sims, Nikki Cox, James Lesure and Vanessa Marcil.

Flynn Boyle's screen credits include Wayne's World and Men in Black II. She co-starred in David Lynch's dark TV series, Twin Peaks.

TripperFan are you trying to say Lara needs to eat more because she's very skinny? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. She is anarexic but she's attractive. Felicitylen do you know if Marsha Thomason will be returning to Las Vegas? She's the black woman with the english accent.

I think she will. I haven't read anything about any cast leaving the show. I've just read about new people joining the show.

Amazing.

Not the Lara Flynn Boyle part, I'm amazed that Las Vegas was renewed.

I just read from spoilerfix.com that Marsha won't be returning.

"The first episode will pick up six months after the Montecito was blown to smithereens. And although I can't say whether she'll be counted among the dead, Marsha Thomason will not be back, confirms series creator Gary Scott Thompson."

I'm sorry to hear that about Marsha because i liked her character on the show. I saw her in black magazine Smooth today as one of the 100 most beautiful black women in entertainment. She is a attractive woman. I hope to see her in movies & tv shows. Only movie i saw her in was My Baby's Daddy.

Yeah, it sucks that she won't be back. Wasn't she also in some Eddie Murphy movie?

I just saw on imdb.com that she was in The Haunted Mansion movie with Eddie Murphy. I didn't know she was in that. She must've been his wife.
