This ever happen to you? You remember a sitcom episode in your head, but can't remember all the details -- or even what series it was from? Something I read on another forum this week reminded me of an episode that I *think* was from Spin City. I'm hoping someone can verify this from my very vague description:

A character on the show mentions an off-screen friend or relative. For whatever reason, some other characters can't seem to figure out whether this friend is male or female. Finally, they ask the character point blank what the person's name is, and it's something generic like "Chris" -- and we never get an answer.

Does that ring any bells?

Yeah it does sound familar, but like you, my memory of it is hazy. You could google spin city episodes and probably find the specifics though.

I don't think this was a Spin City episode. Certainly doesn't ring a bell with me anyway.
