How about starting a tv series where the premise is a person- or 2 people or family- have just made a transition to their new home/workplace.
As the show goes on there are references by the main characters to their old job/neighborhood and the people that lived and worked there.
And then say 3 years down the road (if the show works) make a sitcom about those people we have never seen or heard from and what they are up to now.
There you have the Reverse Spinoff.
Has this been done?

It is an interesting concept. I don't think it has ever been tried before.

I was thinking of making a show with a spinoff like that when I become a producer, the parent show is about a man who lives in Princeton,New Jersey with a smooth running business a wife and 4 kids who gets married to another woman when drunk and ends up having two wives living under the same roof and the new l8r gives him three kids then his buddy from Albany ,New York moves to Jersey and they are remembering their days in the ghetto with their buddies who also live in Albany l8r after talking about them there's a show about them only that one of them is dead and his son is the main focus.
