They have been predicting MAJOR flooding and tornadoes all over here. Yeah sure....we have just had a few showers and it lowered the temp to below 90. It's a pretty nice day outside.

D Miss Golden 07-20-2005, 04:55 PM I had a friend who lost his car because of flooding, but he had good insurance, so he got by pretty well. The National Hurricane Center always projected the hurricane to go into Mexico about 80 miles south of Brownsville where it did... and I knew outside of some rainbands that area wouldn't see much. Right along the border is the worst weather. Max Whittaker 07-21-2005, 09:36 PM Aren't you in Corpus Christi(or somewhere close???), because those mets should be fired who predicted that. Being a Meteorologist is the only job in which you can come to work, get it wrong, and still have a job in the morning. *MIBabe03* 07-21-2005, 09:41 PM Being a Meteorologist is the only job in which you can come to work, get it wrong, and still have a job in the morning. I never thought about that, but you've got a point. Ags2000 07-22-2005, 01:21 AM SOuth of Corpus actually. There was some major flooding about 30 minutes from where I live. Everytime a rainband would come this way, it would just part over my city. It was kinda nice. However, I know of at least 1 tornado that wrecked a families house. THey were lucky to survive but the house was a wreck. THere was bad weather...in all the towns surrounding mine...but not mine. D |
