I'm going on my first date on Friday and I need advice. I need ideas for conversation,stuff like that. Thanks in advance :wave:

First of all, congrats on scoring your first date. :D

Second, I suggest you take turns sharing your life stories...Sounds boring, but you'll find out lots of interesting stuff about him, I'm pretty sure. And he'll get to know you more too! :)

Well, it's much like sitting and talking with a person and letting conversations flow. It'll feel natural. Start off by complimenting him on something and then ask questions. It'll then feel more natural because it'll keep the convo and attention span going. I did that with this guy I was so afraid to approach. It wasn't a date, but it was kinda like a pre-date thing just to see how I liked talking with him. It was working because we were so natural. And to think that he is SO shy, too, so I was sooo nervous upon approaching him. I was intimidated by his shyness. I find if you just talk and let things flow freely, the other person will be more receptive. Be yourself. :)

Take TJL's advice - don't talk about other guys (unless specifically asked, which you won't be). :lol:

Ask questions about HIM - be interested. Just make sure you don't talk TOO much - sometimes out of nervousness people can - ask him his interests - if he mentions a sport, even if it bores you silly, ask more questions about it and seem interested.

Other than that, yeah, let the conversation just flow easily. If you hit it off, it just naturally will. Don't overdo it on fragrance either. :D

He was my boyfriend before. It's just he lives a hour away and I don't see him that much. :(



We went to Applebee's. He kept cracking me up through the entire meal :lol: (BTW I had Chicken Parmasan ((sp?))) Then we came back to my house while our parents talked and He stole a few kisses from me. It was really nice.*sigh*:blush: ;) I'm going to bed now.

Today,actually.Today is his birthday party. I may not go. It's a swimming party and I really don't like the idea of being half naked in front of alot of people. Plus I will be the only girl.

When you said that about being half-naked, I could fully understand - I've always hated pool parties for that very reason, but that's great that you didn't let it bother you. Just proves if you take small risks in life, sometimes you're pleasantly surprised!! ;)
