Alrite. First let me say that I had an AMAZING time. I watched the broadcasted Orlando concert on AOL, so I thought it wouldn't be that exciting, since I basically spoiled it for myself, but OMG it was ... out of 10, a 12.

I left the house at 5:30, got to the place at 5:45. I couldn't find a damn parking space, so I had to park about 15 minutes walking distance away, where I had to pay 2 dollars to park. Boo.

So I got there, and was outside the door around 6ish. The doors were still locked, and wouldn't get open until 6:25. >_< so, I walked around just to study the area (like where the tour busses are and such), just incase I get that grand chance.

So I get back around 6:30, and they finally open the doors. I had 2 cameras in my nike bookbag. 1 disposable, 1 digital. I was planning on only bringing the disposable, but hey, if they found the digital, all I'd really have to do is return it to my car anyway, so I figured I should just take the chance. Well ANYWAY. When I step to the door, first thing I see is a sign that says "NO CAMERAS, RECORDING DEVICES, OR LASER POINTERS". So I was like.. crap, they're gonna take it away. But they didn't even inspect me! They just looked at me and my brother's tickets, and then we went in the place.

We couldn't sit in our seats just yet, because the doors weren't open (we had to wait till 7), so I went to the line and bought a Kelly shirt (the black one with like 9 pictures of her), 2 glowlights, and a red Kelly poster. $50 dollars out of my pocket right there. But it's well worth it.

So after that, me and my brother walked around and we saw a "TAKE A PICTURE WITH KELLY" sign. And we were thinking "are you serious?!". And of course, all it was was a photo thing where you go in front of a green screen and pretend that you're taking a picture with Kelly. lol.

Well, the doors finally opened at 7 (actually, more like 7:15. believe me, i was that impatient). We found our seats, which were actually REALLY GOOD. I thought it was gonna suck, but they were super awesome. And, the seats were comfy, spacious, and nice. It was a small arena, so it wasn't too chaotic. On top of that, everyone around us was supppper nice. One lady was like "Aw, I love your shirt. Now, excuse me and my friends if we get too out of hand, we ADORE kelly"... and that sparked conversation from there. lol. Kelly fans are amazing. (=

Our view.

So the show was great. The Graham Colton Band was great too. After they were done, there was an intermission, and people left their seats to do whatever they needed to do before Kelly. Half of them came back to their seats with newly purchased Graham Colton Band CDs. They really left a good impression.

Anyway, so then after what seemed like an enternity, Kelly started with "Walk Away". I was nervous that the crowd wouldn't be as into her non-single songs, but everyone was singing along, and she had such a great response from the crowd.

(here are some pics... i didn't take too many... i had more videos than i did pictures)

"Miss Independent" got a lot of response too, and she sang it well. lol. there was this guy near us who kept yelling "WE LOVE YOU KELLY", so our area was the most energetic.

"What's Up Lonely" && "Trouble With Love Is" were next. They were both nice. She skipped "Low" though.

When she sang "Because of You", I hate to admit it, but I was about to cry. That's probably, if not my ultimate favorite, then one of my favorite songs ever. I have a connection with that song, so hearing her sing it live sent chills down my spine. She definitely has that connection.

I forgot the rest of the order though. Umm. She skipped "Where is Your Heart", because I had a set list, and noticed that she missed it. She did a great job with "Why?", and OMG people were actually singing along to "Come Here" (her new one).

"Gone". She waved to me. WOW. Awesome feeling.

The best was definitely towards the end when she sang her bigger songs. "Behind These Hazel Eyes" was definitely a high point. Everyone was so energetic, and she got MASSIVE RESPONSE. I did notice that during this, she felt on her head and it looked like she was about to pass out, but someone gave her water. (I read this morning that she was actually sick. Poor Kelly. She still sounded great though).

SUBG was also very very good. Our section won the "response" thing with the chorus. And of course, Breakaway was the last song, and she nailed it. I hate to say it, but when she sang it on the Christmas special last year, I didn't really like it... I assumed it was because it's one of those subdued slow songs that only really sound good recorded, but she did an awesome job. Everyone was singing along, and it just felt awesome.

And then it was over. :( But, it was definitely a great hour.

After the show, we all left, got a shick intuition box (i actually got 3), and headed out. The Graham Colton Band started signing autographs outside, but me && my brother wanted to look for Kelly, so we walked around to any bus we saw. No luck after 15 minutes, so we asked a gaurd where Kelly was, and he said that she left because she had a stomach virus. Tear.

So... hearing that, I was really bummed out, but I mean, I still had time to kill so I headed to the other side, where there were 2 busses, and we found these group of about 8 young girls waiting outside the tour bus yelling "KELLY!" like 26737347 times. I started talking with them, and we talked about how much we love Kelly and stuff, and one of the girls even said that she posts at IDF. (she was like 10). So I don't know. Maybe I'll post with her one day (her name was like Kellylicious or something.. but that name doesn't seem familiar at all). ANYWAY. So then these 2 people came to the bus, and we were all getting excited. We asked them where Kelly was at, and they said that she was doing some interviews, backstage stuff, etc inside (completely diff. from what the other guy told us). We then asked where she would come out, and they said that they didn't know. Bummer.

After 30 minutes of waiting, we were all sort of giving up hope. Haha. Then hope was finally lost when a gaurd told all of us that we had to leave the surrounding area, and that Kelly was gone.

Hm.

But the mystery of "was Kelly there or not?" was solved when I heard on the radio this morning that the people who got backstage passes from them couldn't meet Kelly because she had a stomach virus and had to leave right away. Instead, they'll go backstage another time.

So even though we didn't meet Kelly (sorry, im a bit spoiled with the whole meeting idols thing), i still had a superb time. I probably had more fun at this concert than last year's Idol concert, and believe me, I had a BLAST last year. I cannot wait to see Kelly again.

Sounds awesome David! I'm happy for you. :) I've been trying to win better radio station giveaways all day (my current seats are row 26 floor) and they are giving away backstage in 45 minutes and then at 5:45 front row.. haha, I'm pretty unlucky unfortunatley... but I hope that she does get to do backstage, atleast for the people who have been lucky enough to win them. :) Glad you had such a good time! :bighug:
