Okay, technically, this show wasn't a sitcom, but I do remember a short-lived show from the spring of 1979 called Friends. It was a drama that chronicled the story of three pre-teen friends (two boys and a girl). The girl was played by Jill Whelan, who would later go on to become Vicki on The Love Boat.

I thought it was funny that both the comedy Friends and the drama E.R. premiered in the fall of 1994 and that the comedy was preceded by a drama of the same name and vice versa (there was a short-lived sitcom named E.R. in 1984).

I guess the studios and networks figured that no one would remember these shows or perhaps they themselves forgot!! :D
