The best episode of that season is when Florence's Maid Union came to the Jeffersons Apartment. I love that episode. That was a great season too.
James"Thunder"Early 07-20-2005, 05:02 PM Can't wait, At least it wasn't another long wait like we had for the third season

I'm guessing that season 3 was promoted the right way which led to a lot of copies being sold and season 4 being released in the same year.
TV DVD Fan 07-31-2005, 08:10 PM great news. catch up time for me though who dont have s1-3 yet! Yikes!
pat
faraj 08-01-2005, 03:44 PM Surprised that there's no DVD news for All In The Family, though. Because every few months, the next season of that sitcom, which the Jeffersons is a spinoff from, is usually announced first. But I guess it won't be long for All In The Family S5 on DVD.
Pavan 08-03-2005, 11:45 AM Mmmmm hmmmm mmmmm
Dig into the celebrated fourth season of THE JEFFERSONS, one of the most beloved and critically acclaimed comedy series ever on TV. Watch all of your favorite characters get mixed up again in some of the wackiest situations, silliest gags, and most hilarious hijinx this side of Harlem: George and Louise Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley and Zara Culley) laugh their way through a thrilling hostage ordeal, housekeeper Florence (Marla Gibbs) treats the Jeffersons to a rowdy visit from her parents, and son Lionel (Mike Evans) gets a little crazy with his plans for the family business. Created by television legend Norman Lear, THE JEFFERSONS remains one of the most successful, influential, and long-lived (1975-1985) TV comedy series in history. This digitally remastered three-disc collector's set includes all 26 hilarious episodes from season four, now on DVD for the first time ever. So, don't be no jive turkey, and keep movin' on up with THE JEFFERSONS!
barwars 08-03-2005, 11:48 AM I love the coverart! Looking forward to this VERY much.
TVFactFan 08-03-2005, 12:02 PM The Cover Art needs to be changed. It's all wrong-That Photo of George and Louise is from the episode-Piano Man" in season 1. Would have made more since to choose a season 4 episode

Actually, I believe that scene is from "Louise Feels Useless". That was when they were making up in the middle of the night after a quarrel over Weezy working for the "enemy" dry-cleaner. I like the way they put Ralph's photo on the DVD cover, though, as if he's acknowledged as a regular cast member although he was never billed or even shown in the opening sequence.
Trishalla 08-03-2005, 04:37 PM I do not like the cover art for Season 4
I think they can com up with better cover art than that

That Photo is from PIANO MAN-season 1
BillyK 08-04-2005, 03:53 PM RE: COVER ART....
Where's Lionel?
BTW, I do agree the cover does suck - but it's the episodes that count!!!

My guess is Lionel wasn't featured that much during season 4. Then again, neither was Mother Jeffersons so why the hell is she on the Front Cover?

She isn't. It's Florence, Tom, Helen, Jenny, and Ralph.
TV DVD Fan 08-04-2005, 05:37 PM I never thought I'd see the day when Pavan made a mistake, surprised noone else caught it.
Louise was not played by Zara Culley. Louise was played by Isabel Sanford. Mother Jefferson was played by the talented Zara Culley. I'm sure it was a typo, but I'm ashamed that my fellow Jeffersons lovers didn't spot it! lol.
pat

I didn't write that up. That was Sony's press synopsis.
TV DVD Fan 08-04-2005, 06:39 PM Thats why I thought. Thought it was a typo from a press release, but wasn't exactly sure, looked a little too formal.

Pavan 08-05-2005, 10:29 AM The back cover ... I like the usage of The Jeffersons font:

That Photo is not from a particular episode from season 1. It's just a Photo of George, Lionel, and Tom.

Well, it's obviously posed. It's a promotional photo from the first season.
SoapFan71 08-15-2005, 09:33 AM I have to say that Sony doesn't seem to put much consideration when designing the covers of alot of their DVD's. Soap Season 3 had Benson on the cover even tho he was only in 3 or 4 ep's of the season! Plus where r the special features for these DVD's?!!!!

boechsner 10-26-2005, 05:16 PM Are the episodes for Season 4 in airdate order or production order? Seasons 1-3 are all in production order.
TVFactFan 10-26-2005, 06:04 PM Are the episodes for Season 4 in airdate order or production order? Seasons 1-3 are all in production order.
Season 4 is in airdate order. Boechsner did N@N ever air the Jeffersons episode-"The Blackout" I don;t think they did. When I watched season 4 I don't ever remember seeing that episode on N@N

Yep, it did air on Nick at Nite, however during the last few rotations on Nick at Nite in 2002-2003 it was always skipped. Then when it moved to TV Land, it certainly did NOT air there.
boechsner 10-27-2005, 04:00 AM Airdate order! WHY! Why change now, especially since, down the line Seasons 7 and 8 and 9 suffer from the early 80's writers strike, where episodes from the 7th season didn't air until the 8th season. How are they gonna handle that?

Well that explains why i never saw the episode
