Heck if you do not like thunderstorms then I recommend that you move here to the coastal part of Southern California; rarely do we receive thunderstorms...

Now, now Solomon.

You are complaining that you have to watch DVDs?
Just be thankful that you didn't lose power.

I find myself pretty much lost on those nights.

I did say to myself that it could be worse, i still do have cable. airconditioning and can watch DVd's. But my phone and internet is what really balances out my 8 work day so without that, i won;t feel right

Quick Solomon, you mentioned you've dated less since getting the internet. Call up some chick and get it on.

Thunderstorms are romantic. So you've got a built in plus.

Wow, I spent 17 years of my life without internet and I survived!! Try to make it those 2 days!! At least you have power, so you won't be totally bored!

PS: if you had a cable modem, you would have internet. :)

I LOVE thunderstorms! They are really relaxing for me. We had a passing one last night, too! There's something about the hoarse rumble of thunder, the rain, and the streaks of lightening that make it so relaxing for me. As I hear/see it, it just trances me into good or realistic things that are happening during that era where I ponder about them. It's a difficult feeling/description to write, but I can feel it as the thunderstorm is happening.

The other night we had a lovely thunderstorm. It rained for about an hour and then the lightning went on throughout the night! I stayed up late that night watching the chain lightning.

Better than a movie!

Thunderstorms don't bother me, just as long as we don't end up having a tornado warning later.

Where I live all the power lines and telephone lines are underground. So we have power outages very rarely unless a main transformer is hit. Well, on that note, I love thunderstorms! I always have! When my son was younger(in his pre-teen years) we always would sit on the front porch and watch the storms come in from the west. Just as recently as 2 days ago he was here(he is now 31) at home and we watched a storm come in. Well in the years since he was a young boy the trees in our neighborhood have grown up so much that it is really hard to see the sky anymore! :( But he and I have always been fascinated by thunderstorms. When he was younger his dream was to be a storm chaser or a meteorologist. Well, so far that hasn't happened to him but who knows?............

My brother- in- law who is a police officer has sighted many funnel clouds in his career. He knows what to look for :D

My son and I saw a tornado years ago but it traveled away from us thankfully but tore the roof off of a Big Boy restaurant 10 miles east of us that same day.

Well I can kind of get away with it now because i don;t have email yet. So i can;t be tracked. In 2 weeks, when i get an email, the web time will decrease. Plus i surf the web and complete assignments, i can do two things at once you know-lol

PS-I do have telephone service, it was just the internet that was damaged. So I have my phone, cable, and DVD's. i think I can work with that until Whenever-lol

I will never again in life use the phone or internet during a thunderstorm. I learned my lesson. There are only two things that can somewhat replace the internet temporarily,

1.SportsTalk Radio

2.DVD's
