Hi Stace!
At least we'll know when you're posting messages in your sleep; because you'll be calling us all Berford!

Hey, Stacy Petrie,
I've only been a member of this board for about a week or so. I'm only 26, and I noticed there are several people on the DVD board that are in their early twenties. It's great to know that The Dick Van Dyke show has some young fans! Welcome to the board.

Hi, Stacy Petrie
I am also new to the board. I watch TDVDS all of the time too, I even started to watch Diagnosis Murder. My kids even watch TDVDS with me, my daughter knows the theme song. My son likes to quote from the episode "Don't Trip Over the Mountain" that is his favorite episode. I also live in the Miidwest. Have you ever been to Danville, Ill? I have just driven through Danville on my way to Iowa.

Welcome hrstultz,
About 10 years ago I drove to Danville with a friend of mine who knew I was a huge fan of TDVDS. I live in South Suburban Chicago, so it was an easy afternoon trip for us.
My friend had been there many times before, being from the area. It's a quiet little town surrounded by farms, although much bigger than Dick would remember as a kid. There was no statue, plaque, or any noticible public mention of Dick when I went, but it was still nice to see the houses, shops, and schools that would have been familiar to him :) .

 Welcome to the boards Newbies!!

(Rats - Steve stole the line I was going to use about "Berford"!!! It's my dog's nickname)!

I'm not as much of a regular as I'd like to be to the DVD board, since it is my all time favourite sitcom, but I'm all over SO so you'll see me pop in to say now and then.

I'm sure you'll like it here, these guys know everything there is to know about DVD and the discussions are really fun. :D

that Danville doesn't celebrate their favourite son more...I know we are all a bit biased but I can't think of a celebrity more loved than DVD. Everytime I mention that I love the show, the response is always the same- "I love DVD"
