Have you thought about what particular song you want played at your funeral? Maybe I'm the only one . . .
But mine is "Kiss the Rain" by Billie Myers.

R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts." The Byrds's "turn, Turn, Turn." Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Way Home." Do not play Kansas's "Dust in The Wind," howerver. That song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. Way too depressing....... -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Col. Potter: "Thank Heaven." Father Mulcahey: "And the manager thereof." Penny Lane 07-17-2005, 09:29 PM The Long And Winding Road- The Beatles ABlairican Pie 07-17-2005, 09:32 PM After Forever--Black Sabbath. Deadly serious (no pun intended)! I've also signed a donor card and want to be cremated after. I dated a guy who I was mad for - after only 5 months we were going to get married - thought he was my total soulmate - but when he heard that I had donated all useable organs - he said he wasn't sure he could honour that - he didn't want to see me "cut up". I dumped him immediately. I don't want somebody vetoing my last wishes dammit! I also want my sig enscribed on the headstone - just to freak people out who are reading it. I've heard of people having - "What are you looking at? You're next!" on it! vienna waits 07-18-2005, 01:24 AM I don't know who sings it, but I like the song "Say Goodnight, Not Goodbye" TripperFan 07-18-2005, 01:24 AM Im not having a funeral, i cant think of anything more wasteful than spending $10000 on a party for someone who couldnt care less That's exactly what my mother requested and we honoured it. I have to admit, it made it a lot easier on the family as well. We had our own private memorial, but that was it. That's how I want it. And any donations to go to Service Dogs or Canine Companions/CNIB or the Vet College at Guelph. Hollow 07-18-2005, 01:30 AM joy to the world. Looks cool. It sits on the Niagara Escarpment at the southern end which runs into Niagara Falls. Here's a map I pulled. Hopefully the red markers will show up well. The bottom one is were Mikado is in Wellend - where the canal and lock system is. The upper one is where I live - on the edge of the Escarpment - well above sea-level. The photographs are more from the upper portion - in my area - as a matter of fact, the small square pic if VERY close to where I live at the Bruce Trail. crystals 07-18-2005, 12:27 PM I don't know. What would be the point of people playing music to a body? If the soul or whatever you want to call it that survives the death of the body isn't there to enjoy the music, why bother? I'd rather donate all my organs to help people who need kidney transplants and such and have people cremate whatever is left over. Why have a funeral and pay so much money on a dead body? dlemond 07-18-2005, 12:35 PM Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground) by The Jacksons :p Sorry. Couldn't resist. Mikado 07-18-2005, 01:06 PM Where is that? Looks cool. As you can see on Cathie's map, The Welland Canal ( and the city of Welland ) are situated between the great lakes Ontario & Erie..the canal is very useful in keeping ships from falling 150 feet & being destroyed on the rocks below Niagara Falls  ( Which the canal bypasses ) Ohio8 07-20-2005, 08:41 PM Jeff Beck: "Another Place."
