View Full Version : starting college in the fall... OLdsk00L87 07-17-2005, 02:32 PM is anyone else? i'm really excited about it!!! :D OLdsk00L87 07-17-2005, 03:17 PM come on! i cant be the only one starting college! Chelsea 07-17-2005, 03:22 PM I'll...erm...still be a Freshman (2nd Year there). Let me give any and all incoming Freshmen a bit of advice right now Don't schedule ANY class before 10AM (Your Time) unless you're one heck of an early riser. You may think "Well, I've gotten up at 6/7 AM for school every day for 13 years, it'll be EASY"...Trust me, it's not. And if you DO schedule classes that early, make sure you get an alarm as loud as possible without angering your roommate/neighbors. Then set it as far away from your bed as possible. This way, you at least have to get up to turn it off/snooze it, making you less likely to go BACK to bed. *MIBabe03* 07-17-2005, 05:43 PM Eh this is my third year in junior college, but in December I'm applying out of state to a university. Just a year, and then I'll be out of here. Thankfully. vienna waits 07-17-2005, 05:44 PM im starting in six weeeeeeks. i have an 8 am class everyday except wednesday.. my body naturally wakes up around 7:30 because of work this summer so I'll be fine. however im also scared to death and want to puke whenever i really think about leaving so as much as I'm excited, i'm also very apprehensive. Titania 07-17-2005, 07:02 PM starting second year of college. for anyone starting in the fall- be prepared for the best time of your life. and agreed, dont schedule early classes and in college, anytime before 11 is EARLY. swedeace 07-17-2005, 07:04 PM No, not college but university will be in the Spring for me, actually. vienna waits 07-17-2005, 08:02 PM lol you guys say don't schedule anything early as if I even had a choice. they pre-scheduled me for classes based upon what I put down as an intended major on my application and GE classes that I have to take. I could have changed classes and times but it seemed like too much of a hassle to me. I was just happy getting into the psychology class considering that's what my major is going to be. my 8am class is comp so I'm not too worried. my brain can do English in the morning but definitely not math. I also get a 2-3 hour break everyday after my 8 am class. and i went through high school doing homework until 2-3 in the morning and getting up at 6:30 so yeah I'm not worried.
