That's a good THREE YEARS from now. The third book-movie just hit theaters last year...The fourth is going to be in theaters this year, methinks. That's no excuse for not reading the HP books. :p Ewan's My Man 07-17-2005, 10:21 PM page 78 Southern Hellraiser 07-17-2005, 10:30 PM p.254. Kristen 07-18-2005, 01:00 AM I finished it, too. :( Even more than being shocked at the death, I'm shocked at the person responsible. I never would've seen that coming. I'm definitely anxious for book 7 now, b/c things seem even more up in the air than they were at the end of OOTP. Kristen Leigh Ann 07-18-2005, 10:41 AM Now I'm on Chapter 5. From what people have said the end looks really intreasting and shocking. I'm looking forward to getting there. Ags2000 07-18-2005, 01:05 PM Well, I've already figured out who did it...and thanks to my sister...I also know who died. I'm really impressed with this book so far...I'm on 300 something...I don't know. Is it me or does Harry have a lot bigger attitude this year. For lake of a better word...he's very cheeky. D Rachel3118 07-22-2005, 11:02 PM I finished last Tuesday. It was so sad in the end. I don't see how it's going to continue into the next book. Were going to have to wait so long for the next book. Ewan's My Man 07-23-2005, 12:06 AM oh...my...god *takes a dull butter knife and plunges it in my chest* i RUSHED to finish this book because i didn't want to find out the ending from ANYBODY but OH! MY! GOD!!!!! the 5th book had me crying hard enough but once again i was hysterical...the nice sweet books that started out about a little wizard are now full of torment and angst... well it was a great book, however sad it was...i can't wait for the 7th one...when's that one supposed to come out...:p Southern Hellraiser 07-23-2005, 12:21 AM SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER I was shocked too, especially the way Dumbledore was pleading before Snape murdered him. Hmm all I can say is wow. :( and now I'm just like WTF is gonna happen next? EmoJoe 08-05-2005, 10:34 PM Man...that was intense Crap, I cant believe Dumbledore died. It was sooo sad. I think Hogwarts WILL close and the 7th book will be about Harry hunting down Voldemort. I hope this isn't the last we see of Ron, Hermione, and Ginny. It's either Harry or Voldemort that's gonna die in the last book Fleet 08-06-2005, 04:03 PM Yeah, I'm pretty sure I found it. It's on the upper right. Not hard to find. I Love John Ritter 08-06-2005, 04:05 PM Well, we know that either Voldemort or Harry have to die in the last book. I think that Ewan's My Man had a really good prediction, but if J.K. Rowling makes Harry die in the last book, then all the other books are pretty much pointless because he is the main character, and many people are not going to like the fact that she made him die in the end. I don't know, that's just what I think. EmoJoe 08-06-2005, 04:58 PM Well, we know that either Voldemort or Harry have to die in the last book. I've been tempted to read the spoilers, but I won't :bonk: vienna waits 08-12-2005, 12:29 PM You Know You're Too Big of a Fan When... You mutter nonsense latin words under your breath. You call your least favorite teacher Snape. Your computer says "You've Got Mail" and you run outside looking for an owl. You actually ask for a broom for Christmas. You mutter "lumos" under your breath every time you turn on a flashlight. You sort everyone you meet into the four Hogwarts houses. (Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin.) You were burned when you couldn't get through the flames of your fireplace. You had to go to the hospital after you broke your nose running headfirst into the wall between platforms nine and ten. The wand order mistake in GoF drove you crazy, and even after it was "corrected" you still came up with dozens of theories to explain why that happened. You point a normal things like parking meters and say "Look at the things these muggles dream up!" You collect plugs. You try on every piece of silvery fabric your mom has to see if you turn invisible Before getting up to get something, you always try to summon it first. Accio TV remote! You watched "Love, Actually" because two minor Harry Potter actors were in it. You were reduced to tears when you finally had book 5 in your hands. You refer to your Chemistry class as Potions. You spend hours tapping bricks in special orders hoping that a secret entrance to Diagon Alley will appear. When playing chess, you yell orders to the chess players and get upset when they don't move. You yell into the "fellytone." You get emotional every time you hear "Hedwig's Theme". You say "wicked" all the time because Rupert Grint does. You get thoroughly overexcited every time you see a word somewhere that is distantly linked with HP (ie. Saint Hedwig's). You name all of your pets after HP characters. You get in to heated arguments over how much gel Tom Felton had in his hair in the first two movies. You know that Harry's birthday is July 31, 1980, Hermione's birthday is September 19, 1979 and Ron's birthday is March 1, 1980 even though it never said in the books. You refer to Voldemort as "You-Know-Who", and no one has any idea who you're talking about. You went out and bought the latest editition of the Webster's Dictionary because they added the word "muggle". You were kicked out of the movie theater for standing on your chair, throwing your shoe at the screen and yelling "THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN IN THE BOOK!" You count the days until you're old enough for your apparating license, and everyone else thinks you're talking about driving. Your free time on the computer is spent constantly refreshing your favorite Harry Potter news site (MuggleNet, of course), hoping for an update. Brian 08-12-2005, 01:17 PM I'm reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm probably halfway done with it right now. Mysty Eyes 08-12-2005, 02:11 PM You Know You're Too Big of a Fan When... You watched "Love, Actually" because two minor Harry Potter actors were in it. Hmmm... I've not read much in the books (I'm still in book two), but... Alan Rickman is considered to be a "minor HP actor" (the other, I assume, being Emma Thompson)? I was under the impression that Snape was fairly important to the storylines. |
