How far have you read in the new Harry Potter book?

I've read up to chapter 7. I think it's really good so far.

The book has alot of detail the movie doesn't have and the movie changes things around. The book are alot better then the movies.

I didn't even finish the FIRST book... :blush: I hate reading... :mumble:

I'm only on page 44, but I read the MAJOR spoiler last night. Holy ****ing ****, it's not even funny.

I can't believe the second chapter... I'm in complete shock. Something told me that (highlight/read only if you've passed chapter 2!) Snape was on the dark side the whole time.

I'm up to chapter 10. I'm still shocked over who the new DADA professor is. This should be an interesting year for Harry! ;)

I think this book is going to explain a LOT of things concerning Harry, his parents, and that damned prophecy.

The 6th book won't even be on video until 2008. That's a good THREE YEARS from now. The third book-movie just hit theaters last year...The fourth is going to be in theaters this year, methinks. That's no excuse for not reading the HP books.

All I will say is that A] my house is fresh out of Kleenex, and B] Rowling better start writing that seventh and final book damned quickly.

I finished it, too. :( Even more than being shocked at the death, I'm shocked at the person responsible. I never would've seen that coming. I'm definitely anxious for book 7 now, b/c things seem even more up in the air than they were at the end of OOTP.

Well, I've already figured out who did it...and thanks to my sister...I also know who died. I'm really impressed with this book so far...I'm on 300 something...I don't know.

Is it me or does Harry have a lot bigger attitude this year. For lake of a better word...he's very cheeky.

I finished last Tuesday. It was so sad in the end. I don't see how it's going to continue into the next book. Were going to have to wait so long for the next book.

i RUSHED to finish this book because i didn't want to find out the ending from ANYBODY but OH! MY! GOD!!!!!

the 5th book had me crying hard enough but once again i was hysterical...the nice sweet books that started out about a little wizard are now full of torment and angst...

well it was a great book, however sad it was...i can't wait for the 7th one...when's that one supposed to come out...:p

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER I was shocked too, especially the way Dumbledore was pleading before Snape murdered him. I was also mad at Dumbledore for trusting Snape, right after he was caught listening to the prophecy. :rolleyes: :mad:

I feel so numb right now after finishing HP6. I was shocked.. I cried and now I'm still feeling shell-shocked. And the end of the book came so abruptly. I thought I had 20 more pages to read and then I turned and it was the last page. Hmm all I can say is wow. :( and now I'm just like WTF is gonna happen next?

I think Hogwarts WILL close and the 7th book
will be about Harry hunting down Voldemort.

I finished it a few days ago. That was a pretty intense book, wow. And I thought the 5th one was sad...this one is just as sad.

That Harry Potter is going to die...I think the last Horcrux (sp?) will somehow be the scar and he'll have to kill himself to save the world...yup, that's what I think...

I heard that there's gonna be an 8th book too, so that might not be the case. could be wrong though.

Well, we know that either Voldemort or Harry have to die in the last book. I think that Ewan's My Man had a really good prediction, but if J.K. Rowling makes Harry die in the last book, then all the other books are pretty much pointless because he is the main character, and many people are not going to like the fact that she made him die in the end. I don't know, that's just what I think.

Hmmm... I've not read much in the books (I'm still in book two), but... Alan Rickman is considered to be a "minor HP actor" (the other, I assume, being Emma Thompson)? I was under the impression that Snape was fairly important to the storylines.
