These two were my favorite characters behind Fred. But they were rarely in the same scene together. Imagine if they had more interactions with one another, they were both capable of saying different stuff than they normally do. It would have been interesting. But they both needed Fred to play off of. Rollo and Esther would have been great!

I agree, that Ester and Rollo could have some great scence. Ester and Grady seem to work well.

Ester always mentioned Rollo's mother, Rita Lawson, it would have been nice to have seen some dialogue between Ester and Rita regarding Rollo.

Ester: Aren't you Rita Lawson son?
Rollo: Yes M'amm!!! (cigarette falls out of his mouth)

I loved that scene. It was from the episode where Rollo, Fred and Lamont got arrested for being in a porno film, lol. IMO one of the funniest episodes of Sanford And Son.

Esther: "Just *wait* until Rita hears about this - it's gonna break her heart!"

I'm 97% sure that the only time esther and rollo had a interaction was when Fred, Lamont and Rollo was in jail. That's when she asked him, aren't you Rita larson's boy?

And when she bursted in on him and Lamont and those women they had in the house. She asked him the same question. They were in a couple of scenes together, but they never had much interactions.

They were also in the same scene in the Christmas show, the show where Fred had let everybody believe he had only six months to live and at Lamont's birthday party (Fred, Grady and Bubba had gone on "Wheel and Deal" to win Lamont a birthday gift). I don't think they really had any interaction in these episodes, though, as other posters have already pointed out. When they did, it was plain to see Rollo was terrified of Aunt Esther:eek:! Funny stuff.
