Never heard of any of those restaurants....

We have Outback among others. I don't know. I don't really eat out at steakhouses. They're usually too expensives and the meat is usually undercooked anyway. I know I can always tell them to cook it longer, but they usually OVER cook it. Can't they find a median for us who don't eat our meat charbroiled or alive?

We used to have Ponderosa's up here but they closed down years ago. Besides, they sucked compared to the ones in the States.

When we were in Florida, even though I initially wanted to try different places each night, we usually ended up going to Ponderosa for dinner.

(Haven't tried the others btw - never heard of them)

When I was a kid, Ponderosa was an upscale place, but around the mid 90s it went way downhill in terms of food and atmosphere and it turned into a real dump. I think the whole chain is about dead now.

Bonanza/Ponderosa. We don't have anymore of them around here though. At least I haven't seen any in a few years. Outback is good too.

I finally figured this poll out, this is for the white trash/low class steakhouse restaurants. I remember we had a Western Sizzlin back in the late 90s that did not last anytime. The only crowd that went there were the trailor park crew. As for Bonanza and Ryan's, they have those nasty buffets that children go and spit and vomit all over the food. Plus there steaks are vile.

Ponderosa was a great value, back in the day...but wouldn't even know where to find one, today.

My favorite, by a long shot, is Bones, in Atlanta GA. Steaks are top notch, and their turpentine "sea breeze" baked potatoes seal the deal.

In terms of widespread availability, I'd say Ruth's Chris, Outback, Longhorn, and Logans,...in that order.

With a special mention for Texas Roadhouse as an inexpensive place you can take someone on the cheap.

In my steak eating days, so enjoyed Outback. And we had a great steak house here in SM and their prime rib was tops. I missed getting to Ruth's....maybe my next life.

I like Logan's, they have good steaks. I think most of those in the poll are out of business, at least they are in our area.

Sizzler was a good middle of the road steakhouse with a buffett.

It was good if you were traveling on a company expense account, wanted to eat steak, and not worry about some bean counter calling you extravagant.

The best is Texas Roadhouse, great ribs, chili, and bread. Outback always is good as well. I used to like Ponderosa buffets but those aren't around much anymore, went to Ryan's once and wasn't impressed.
