They cut UM a half hour short to show some stupid original movie?? I'm so frustrated right now. I literally skipped the 2nd half of class today only so I could come home and watch Unsolved. They show the stupid Marie Hilley episode and the Thelma and Lousie segment (for the millionth time). What a joke. I absolutlely loath the way Lifetime treats UM.

I think we're supposed to consider ourselves lucky just because they didn't cut out the entire 2nd hour of UM like they usually do on Fridays. Whatever.

Hmm I wonder if UM is going to be going away again? - I noticed lifetime has picked up the sequel to "Thank You For Being So Old" called "The Golden Palace" I believe - I hope they don't slot two episodes of that in one of UM timeslots.

Anyhow on another note anyone notice the similarity to the actress who played "Marie Hilley" to Karen Carpenter?

Later.

MARIE HILLEY = http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/icons/icon8.gif !

Killing your husband to collect the insurance money is worse enough, but then trying to kill your own children???!!!!! I don’t think she had a heart. Then she flees to New Hampshire, creates a new life as ‘Robbi’, and later comes back as her own twin! I felt like I was watching a soap opera.

I feel so bad for her children! Imagine if your mother, the mother you always loved and grew up trusting, killed your father and tried to kill you as well (simply for some fast cash)! SICKINING

You must remember that for the most part, this show is just for kicks. Lifetime knows that the odds that someone watching this show on their network actually has legit information regarding a case, especially when it is 9 or 10 + years old, is expodentially low. If they were showing new cases, they probably wouldn't cut it off.

Wait though, they did make new episodes. Mostly filled with nonsense stories about the paranormral. Was this just to ensure that they could butcher it as much as they wanted in order to in order to get commercials and such in later in time?

Conspiracy.

Well I'm just glad we are still getting our daily dose of Unsolved Mysteries, I'll take 1 1/2 hours over none at all. I will admit however I'm tired of seeing Marie Hilley & the "Ral Life" Thelma & Louise.

They also need to stop showing ''Resurrection Mary' every other day!

I switch the channel whenever it's on.

Oddly enough, I've never seen the Resurrection Mary segment. What's that one about?

um, folks, i hate to be a drag but, the fact that a national cable channel is broadcasting a show that hasn't been in production for 3+ years should surprise all of us.

UM wasn't friends or seinfeld. it wasn't a show that was maing a ton of money. furthermore, we are getting 10 hours a week of it! we should be ecstatic.

now, i am not making light of the fact that you took time off class and didn't get to see 1/2 an hour. that sucks.

but, overall, we should all be happy.

I completely agree. These 10 hours of Unsolved Mysteries are why I'm contributing less to the overpriced film industry. Thank God for Tivo. With 2 Unsolved Mysteries on and The Amazing Race on GSN, heck with first run movies.

I dont know what I would do without my Tivo. If it werent for it, I wouldnt be able to enjoy watching two hours of Unsolved Mysteries after work.

Well I am in total agreement with njf520. We should be grateful that a discontinued TV show with a small but devoted group of fans is still on the air for those of us who indulge ourselves with 10+ year old episodes for whatever reason(facination, nostalgia, ect.)

I will admit that it's no fun to oversleep and wonder about what I had missed(for those of you who may not remember I have direct TV not Cable, so I get UM at 9 and 10 am, three hours before the cable broadcasts). Nor is it great to get up and see that the upcoming episodes will be those boring ones I'd rather not see. But I guess I should see this as a means to get up and stay up. If you want the good stuff that UM had, you'll have to settle for random re-airing of the not so great ones too, like Resurrection Mary. So what else was on in the first hour this morning on 7/15?

"Thank you for being so old".....is that a Golden Girls referance?? PHttt.

"Golden Palace", ick. That only aired for a season and Lifetime wants to air it?

I may be wrong but I read that it is only airing for a few weeks on one of the other boards here. I saw that Unsolved Mysteries will still be airing twice a day which is good since this show has always done well on Lifetime.
