Car plows through popular pizza place

Workers at a Pearl City pizza restaurant were stunned to see what came through the front door this morning. A car! The driver says she kept hitting her brakes, but that the car wouldn't stop.

Luckily the Chuck-E-Cheese restaurant hadn't opened yet for the day.

Several workers were inside, though, and say they were startled by the crash.

"Yeah, I heard some screeching and the door breaking and I came out and I thought it had something to do with our oven.but it was a car inside," says Jodie Hayami, assistant manager.

Workers say if the accident had happened just 20 minutes later, a group of children would have been inside the restaurant.

Chuck-E-Cheese was closed today because of the crash. It hopes to reopen tomorrow.

Yep, I agree. There does seem to be a lot going down at Chuck E Cheese. Thankfully I stopped going to those when I was 11.

Good question. I remember the days when I could go up to Mr. Cheese and kick him in the shins and run away. Also when my sister was 3, got scared on a slide, and ended up peeing as she went down the slide. Good times.

Chuck E. Cheese Timeline -

March 2 2005 - man refuses to pay for salad bar, employees call police after the man gets verbally aggressive with employees, police arrive and try to arrest the man, the man fights with police which results in the man getting tazered and falling onto a small child and a mother. The child suffers minor injuries, several other children are emotionally shook up over the incident.

April 26 2005 - a mother and her baby are viciously beaten and assualted at a Chuck E. Cheese all over a photo booth. Apparently a trio of young girls, ages 14-17 were hogging the booth for over an hour, the adult mother asked one of the girls if she could take a picture with her 7 month old daughter. One of the girls got offended and started cursing at the mother. Then the whole trio jumped the mother and her baby and viciously beat her which resulted in serious injuries. Police later arrested the trio where they were charged with assualt.

June 3 2005 - a mother leaves a group of 4 children at a Chuck E. Cheese. She states that she had thought her sister was going to pick up the children. The children had to be taken to a group home until issues were resolved. No charges were filed.

June 9 2005 - a mother allegedly leaves her 3 year old son at a Chuck E. Cheese to go to a prostitution house. The mother said that she did not have a babysitter and used Chuck E. Cheese for the child's supervision. The child had to be taken to a foster home by the manager. The mother is awaiting trial to determine the custody of the child.

June 20 2005 - Two girls, Two Mom's, Two fathers and his friends all have a bloody brawl. Apparently two young girls around ages 6 and 7 got into a verbal fight which resulted in one of the girls kicking the other girl which caused injury. The mother's got into a verbal confrontation, when the father's realized what was going on, they got into a heated argument which resulted in one father and his two friends jumping and beating the other father. It drew the attention of two innocent bystanders which resulted in one of them getting stabbed as well as the father whom was beaten. One suspect was arrested on the scene, the other two are still at large.

June 28, 2005 -A man is arrested for attempted murder of a Chuck E. Cheese employee. Apparently the man and his family were fighting with another family when the manager intervened and attempted to break up the fight, one of the men grabbed the manager and started strangling him, the first officer on the scene attempted to break it up, but the officer ended up getting seriously injured by the man and sustained serious injuries which resulted in medical leave and hospitalization. Two other officers sustained minor injuries.

July 14 2005 - A woman plows her car through a Chuck E. Cheese disturbing several employee's getting ready for the day ahead. No injuries were reported, however had the restaurant been open at the time, it could have done some serious damage due to the impact of the collision of the car against the restaurant which has resulted in its temporary closure until repairs can get underway.
