View Full Version : Some more WONDERS of Family Matters
TVFactFan 07-15-2005, 11:30 AM I wonder why the Winslows never had a car
I wonder why Maxine would laugh at Steve Urkel with Laura but Date Waldo
I wonder why Eddie wanted to be cool but hung out with Waldo
I wonder why Steve was just always able to walk in the Winslows house with Knocking
I wonder we never saw Maxine's House or Family
I wonder why we never saw Waldo's House

The Winslows had a car. It was seen on the episode when Eddie failed his driving test. Carl and him were riding in it early in the episode and Eddie ended up driving it right through the livingroom. It was a Station Wagon. As far as Eddie being cool but friends with Waldo. He was also friends with Steve. Just because someone is a certain way doesn't mean they have to have friends who are exactly the way they are.

HUH? Well all my life i thought people chose thier friends by who they had the most in common with. Like I'm a guy who doesn;t drink or smoke and don;t hang in bars so why would i associate myself with those type of men?

I agree with you there. I don't do that stuff either and don't get along too well with people who do. But I do have a lot of good Christian friends, so I see what your saying.
That's probably Eddie's case too. Though he had a big ego, deep down he was a kind caring person as were Steve and Waldo. So it makes sense that the three of them would hang out together.
SimpsonsFan 07-18-2005, 10:07 AM Yeah, it is kind of funny how Maxine made fun of Laura at 1 point the last season when she found out she had feelings for him, when she had dated Waldo for 4 yrs. Waldo doesn't exactly sound like the kind of boyfriend to brag about. I even remember an eps where Laura and Max had an arguement and Harriette said to Laura "Well you can be fighting over a guy, she's dating Waldo."
Also how many coffee tables has Urkel broken? And in the very next episode they have another one. I would be asking for some money for damages.
GeorgiaboyJeff! 07-19-2005, 08:49 PM What the h!ll happened to Judy Winslow?? Did Steve made Judy disappear & he erased her out of the Winslows memories?
Why Steve never got rich off of his inventions, with the stuff he made, He could be a billionaire!
How did Laura begin to have feelings for Steve Urkel?? Still baffled by that!
chipsandsoda 07-19-2005, 09:15 PM Laura starting to have feelings for Steve never really surprized me at all. In fact I think Laura actually started to have feelings for Steve even earlier than she let on. Think of all the little clues we got over the years.
In Season 2 Steve starts dating that girl Suzie and Laura actually starts to get jealous! Also on top of it all, this was very early in the series run.
In the season finale of Season 4 when he started going with Myra on a full time basis and Laura started to miss Steve.
Season 5 she kissed him at the end of the episode when he saved Carl's life.
In the episode in Season 7 when they went to the prom they shared a long passionate kiss at the end of the episode.
In the Season Premire of Season 9, when none of the other girls at the auction voted for Steve, Laura kissed Steve for a long time once again.
Keep in mind all these episodes were BEFORE she admited to having feelings for him.
SimpsonsFan 07-19-2005, 09:50 PM I agree with you on that, I noticed that throughout the series as well.
Classicshowsgurl15 07-20-2005, 01:26 AM I know, but I think it is kind of nice that they ended up together. He was such a nice guy even though he was a nerd.
SimpsonsFan 07-20-2005, 10:00 AM Laura only went out with Stefan because of his looks, I'm glad Laura made the right decision in the end.

Very good points
TVFactFan 09-02-2005, 09:43 AM I also wonder why there was no highschool graduation? or was there one?

No there was never one. The writers should have written Laura and Steve's high school graduation in the season 7 finale. It would have been a good follow up from the prom episode instead of that silly episode of Steve cloning himself.

I just don;t understand how something like that can be overlooked when you have actors/actresses who grew up on the show. From ages of 11-120
SimpsonsFan 09-06-2005, 08:16 AM I agree, I never really thought much about that.
