Aloha from the beautiful island of Oahu! My husband is here at a conference and I tagged along with him. I am currently sitting looking at the Pacific Ocean from my hotel balcony reading posts from my friends at SO. How are you doing, Steve? You ready for your big day next week? You are in my prayers.
Aloha,
Lolac

Hello, Lolac!
How lucky you are!
I'm in Tennessee, just south of Nashville in Murfreesboro. I've been here since Thursday. I hope this message still finds you in The Aloha State. My new bride and I were invited here by her family to celebrate our recent marriage. It's warm but beautiful here.
I'm using her nephew's computer, which needed a lot of upgrading to become fully functional, so I couldn't do anything online until I fixed it.
Yes, I'm ready for Tuesday. And am looking forward to a full and speedy recovery.

Welcome back to TN! As you already know, I live in TN. (we've had this conversation before) I'm sorry that you are here with the continuous road construction and semi-bad weather. Good luck on Tuesday!

Thanks, KennedyDean!
The traffic is a little challenging, but nothing a Chicagoan can complain about, I assure you! The heat and rainshowers never bothers me. I'm a tropics lover, remember?
Tennesse is a great state. You have beautiful wildflowers growing along the highways and intersates, and blooming trees are everywhere! By the way, I took your advice and went to The Spaghetti Factory in downtown Nashville. Good choice! We all loved it. We also went to Zanies comedy club, and a couple of the bars downtown. I just went to see and hear a live country band. I got more than I bargained for. Those bands were great! There's an abundance of talent in Nashville just waiting to be discovered.
I'm looking forward to going back around Thanksgiving  .

I've been to Chicago and the traffic is crazy there too! If you are here when it rains, be prepared, because people drive about 20 mph less than the minimum speed limit! I'm glad you took my advice-- you've been to more places than I have! I, too, love the Spaghetti Factory (did you sit in the train/cable car thing?). I have been to neither Zanies or to see a country band, but they have been recommended to me and so I recommended them to you. Have fun!!
