Do you think the DVD is going to sell?

I think (and hope) the DVD will do well. Many people greatly enjoy the show (as is notable by the amount of people in this message board) and TV stations like N@N don't air all the eps (like the Holiday eps). Also, they have already announced a date for the second season of Roseanne on DVD (I believe it is December 4) I hope they release all the seasons.

Yes The Second Season Is Coming December 6th, And I Do Feel It Will Sell Well Seeing As How Popular It Is For Being So Over Played About 6 years Now, Plus Even If it Doesn't Sell Well I Don't Think Anchor Bay Will Mind Seeing As How they Are A Lower Profile Company And They Are Dedicated To Their Fans, They Also Sell Not So Popular series So They Must be Used To Low Sales...

I personally don't think syndication will hurt the DVD sales. It certainly hasn't hurt Friends. They seem to be expecting decent sales, since there's already plans to release season two.

I think Roseanne is doing fine. Friends is a good comparison. I'm sure Roseanne will sell fine.

Is anyone here considering purchasing Season One?

Im Not Considering It,....It's A Definate For Me...

In my opinion, Roseanne wil do great in sales! First of all, throughout the years, Roseanne has always been one of the top requested TV to DVD releases from fans. Roseanne fans (like us) are dedicated and loyal to the show - we always back it up! In fact, if I'm not mistaken, there have been several petitions put together in the past by Roseanne fans in attempts to get a DVD release.

Especially since it's been so long since it went off the air, that just increases the demand. Plus, even though it's in syndication, all of the episodes on Nick@Nite are edited to make them for appropriate for family viewing.

Plus, in addition to the unedited episodes, as a Roseanne fan, I want the episodes at my fingertips so I can watch them as many times as I want - whenever I want! I don't want to wait for Nick@Nite to air it... That could take forever!

The final reason why I think Roseanne fans will be dying to get their hands on this DVD is because of the bonud features. The interviews with Roseanne and John Goodman should be spectacular, the "Wisdom From The Domestic Goddess" will be hilarious, and the bloopers/highlights are sure to be amazing. Plus, I think it will be so great to see the bloopers and highlights from so long ago - everyone will be so young, especially DJ and Darlene! =D

Like most other people on this board.... I'm not just considering a purchase of the DVD - I've actually already pre-ordered it! LOL. For anyone who wants to preorder online, I suggest BestBuy.com, which is where I ordered through. It's only $27.99, PLUS you get a $10 coupon for Best Buy. Since the Second Season is coming out Dec. 6th, I know what I'll be using that coupon for! Hehe :)
