Troubles In Paradise

This sitcom is about a recently divorced couple who just so happen to still be living under the same roof (even after their divorce became finalized). Craig T. Nelson and Judith Light play Jack and Karen Silverson, the divorced couple remaining in the same house (separate bedrooms of course). Jack is a powerful, successful attorney. Karen is a executive producer at a news station. Jack and Karen have two young adult children: Charisse Silverson, 25 (Jessica Cauffiel), and Andrew Silverson, 22 (Benjamin McKenzie). Andrew is a college student in law school, whereas Charisse is a college graduate who has a degree in interior decorating (without a job). Charisse is a bubbly, ditzy, flaky drama queen with a heart of gold. Charisse, back in college, was a member of a sorority and was nicknamed, "Party Girl". Andrew is a handsome hunk who has a sweet and sensitive side to him. Andrew also is very intellectual and wants to follow in his father's footsteps (to pursue his dream of being an attorney). Jack and Karen are trying to keep peace while living under the same roof. Also, Charisse's best friend (and fellow sorority alum), Melanie Ford (Alanna Ubach) is always hanging around the Silverson residence. Charisse and Melanie are like Laverne and Shirley or Lucy and Ethel...in other words-they are inseparable and often partners in crime.
