I seem to remember as a child a movie starring Rolle where some Vodoo guy was trying to kill her. For the life of me, I can't remember it.

Did you ever see her movie from 1978? Wonder if it's available anywhere. Probably not. I always wondered if she did anything during her year away from Good Times, now we know. Thanks for the info!

Does anyone remember the short lived series John Amos starred in right after he left GT called Future Cop? I was looking at the airdates of it on TvTome. Looks like he went to that show early in 76 before he was even "killed off" on GT.

I took the liberty to look this stuff up myself on imdb.

I don't know about that 1st movie mentioned, but the one where the guy in a mask chases Esther Rolle was called "See China and Die", from 1981.

And there WAS a TV movie John Amos was in called "Future Cop" in 1976, and it was even made into a series in 1977 that only lasted 7 episodes. John Amos starred in that series as well.

LOL- Yeah the show Future Cop was on from March to April of 1977, kind of a 70s version of RoboCop. Souned pretty bad. The movie was in 1976 and had John Amos as a Seargent or something. There's info about it on TV.com. It was the movie that he did right after leaving Good Times. Lasted about as long as Sanford Arms. LOl

Yea its listed in another tv book I have. Its not in The Complete Diectory book. I think maybe because it might not have aired in consecutive weeks or something. I'm not sure.

They actually showed that series on the Sci-Fi channel in the early 90's along with other flop Sci-Fi shows. I caught one episode.

What's the title of that book?

Its called Total Television by Alex McNeil. It has both daytime and nighttime shows listed in it but the summaries are not as good as The Complete Directory book.

Does the book have TV ratings?
It has the top 20.

I got the book mainly for the daytime shows. I have an old version of the book. I think its been updated once since then. Its nice but it doesn't really go in as much detail as the Complete Directory book does.
