I think that all the trader checks should be done in another area. That was my suggestion in another thread. The fact that someone is listed "Good Trader" isnt enough for some people that have just started on the board. They don't know you, they don't know me. So if either of us says "Yea, BillyBob is a GOOD TRADER" how do they know he is, just on our word. I know there will be people out there that will say that they have put alot of effort in the good and bad trader list, and we all thank everyone efforts in that area. For me it has been VERY helpfull.
Pick all this stuff up thats cluttering up the "Trading Post" forum and move it to a "Trader Check" forum and this will solve all the problems. Maybe? :)

The "good trader list" is available - and, those listed have been recommended by "known" good traders. Not everyone will take the time to look at the list to verify if someone is listed. It is "ok" to post questions about traders. It is possible for a good trader to go bad - and, there is a possiblity that a person who is listed on the trader list may be one of those people. It helps us to stay current ;)
It doesn't take long to respond to a post and I enjoy giving recommendations for traders when I can.

I agree completely if we do not want to read or respond to trader checks that is our perogative. It is easy enough to just ignore the thread. I like seeing the posts and keeping current with who is trading and who is being researched. Remember that at least 3 bad traders have tried to sneak up on this forum in the last few weeks. I think things are fine the way they are.
My 2 cents

Yes! I agree, people should do their own investigating! But, some people post several times a day and fill up the board with their "looking for" posts - rather than adding a show (editing) their original post - which, will bump their post up to the top. I'd rather see more posts regarding questions about good/bad traders than 10 posts from the same trader with their "want" lists;o)
