I swear "I Dream of Jeannie" has moved timeslots more than any other show, but it's nice to see "Jeannie" and "Bewitched" remaining on weekdays

And why does TVL insist on constantly showing the same shows over and over... by that time the same shows will be on from 5PM-4AM: All in the Family, Sanford and Son, Good Times, Andy Griffith, Leave it to Beaver, Little House on the Prairie, Three's Company, Night Court, and Cheers. The new shows are fine for that ("Little House," "Good Times," and "Night Court") but the others have been run to death either on N@N, TVL, or both. It'd be nice to see more variety, they only need one slot in that huge block of programming.... that said, it's worse now though than it will be in September.

It would kinda be cool if Three's Company would replace Andy Griffith for the Wednesday marathon.I don't care if anybody disagrees with me on this, but TC didn't really be on the mini-marathon line up on Mondays.Probably for a month or two.It would be cool to have it on there again

Yes it did. It really was on the Monday mini-marathon for a month or two.

I, for one, am okay with this schedule. LHOTP's timeslot is awesome, and I can't wait until the TVLandon Labor Day marathon! Ten hours of LHOTP everyday for three days straight!? Hells yes!

BTW, Pav, TVLand deal for LHOTP includes the movie sequels that aired in the 1983-1984 season, right? I know Hallmark shows them on their own a lot, and I was hoping to see them (I never saw any of them)...

I'm not sure, good question. If Hallmark airs them, then maybe TV Land will, too, but I'm not sure.

Oh, they'll have to work very damn hard to get me to leave the house that weekend. Now, if they aired "Cheers" all weekend, now that would make me leave. I'd be away from house so long that I'd forget if I live there or not.

Based on the advertisements, TV Land Confidential looks like it will be good- better than a lot of the originals anyways.

I like the TV Land September schedule- except for a few things...
I would keep Happy Days/Brady Bunch at 9am, Bewitched/I Dream of Jeannie at 12pm, and Leave it to Beaver/Andy Griffith at 5pm- dropping those extra episodes of All in the Family and Good Times (they could even move those to 4am). I like both All in the Family and Good Times but I think the airings of them in the 5pm hour (currently 6pm) is a bit excessive, but I guess their ratings are just too good. I'm just sad that Happy Days will only air at 4am.

It's interesting to me that Happy Days, Brady Bunch, and Bewitched do not perform better. Happy Days and The Brady Bunch both had reunion specials on ABC and TV Land respectively in the last year that did very well and Bewitched Week on TV Land also did well. I guess people just aren't in to watching these shows regularly.

TV Land and Nick at Nite Launch On-Air Campaign to Support Family Day on September 26

Jamie Lee Curtis and George Lopez Participate in Campaign to
Register 10 Million Participants

NEW YORK, Aug. 9 -- TV Land and Nick at Nite's Family Table:
Share More Than Meals -- Classic TV's very first pro-social initiative -- has
teamed up with The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at
Columbia University to celebrate Family Day -- A Day to Eat Dinner with Your
Children on Monday, September 26, 2005. Viewers tuning in to TV Land and Nick
at Nite will see Jamie Lee Curtis and George Lopez discuss this important
initiative in public service announcements running on both networks. The spots
can also be seen on several cable affiliates around the country including
Comcast and Time Warner Cable. In addition, George Lopez recorded separate
spots that will be available in Spanish. The PSAs encourage people committed
to eating together on Family Day to go to FamilyTable.info or 1-877-99-TABLE
(8-2253) to register participation for their family, friends and loved ones.
CASA's Family Day, which was created in 2001, is a national effort
designed to promote the benefits that come from families dining together
regularly. A decade of CASA research has consistently shown that the more
often children eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to
smoke, drink or use illegal drugs. Together, CASA and The Family Table have
set a goal of registering 10 million Americans to pledge to have dinner as a
family on September 26th and, hopefully, use Family Day as a catalyst to make
family dinners a regular part of their lives.
TV Land & Nick at Nite's Family Table: Share More Than Meals was created
by the two networks in 2003 and seeks to remind its viewers about the
emotional and social benefits that come from taking the time to sit down and
share with one another. Through a series of promotional spots -- which both
networks air in regular rotation daily -- TV Land and Nick at Nite have
committed over $11 million in on-air time annually to encourage viewers to
experience the benefits of dining together.
"Jamie Lee Curtis and George Lopez are truly committed to this cause and
we are so thankful that they made themselves available to do these important
announcements," states Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land & Nick at Nite. "TV
Land and Nick at Nite's Family Table is honored to support CASA in its efforts
to make Family Day a priority for everyone. Our hope is that everyone will
use that day as a catalyst to dine together more frequently and enjoy the
benefits that come from family dining."
"Revival of the family dinner in America will do more to curb kids from
smoking, drinking and using drugs than any law or public health campaign,"
said Joseph A. Califano, Jr., Chairman and President of The National Center on
Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University and former U.S.
Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare. "Enlisting 10 million people to
pledge to have dinner together on Family Day is a most ambitious undertaking
and TV Land & Nick at Nite's commitment to pro-social family values makes them
the perfect partners to help remind Americans of the importance of family
dinners."

TV LAND PREMIERES TV LAND CONFIDENTIAL,

A NEW ORIGINAL SERIES ON SEPTEMBER 14

Series Reveals Untold Stories from Television’s Celebrated Shows and Stars

New York, NY, August 9, 2005 – What happened when Barbara Eden found out she was pregnant the same day the I Dream of Jeannie pilot was picked up by NBC? How did Garry Marshall handle network objections to Fonzie wearing a leather jacket on Happy Days? What did Phil Rosenthal do when he was asked to make Everybody Loves Raymond sexier? You’ve seen the shows and you know all the characters. Now, the network that brings you America’s most beloved television shows, shares the stories you haven’t heard with the debut of its next original series, TV Land Confidential. Beginning September 14, 2005 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), this seven episode series kicks off with “Network Notes,” and airs every Wednesday at 10 p.m. through October 26. The series is executive produced by David P. Levin of BrainStorm Inc.

“These are the untold stories behind some of the greatest shows on TV,” explains Sal Maniaci, Vice President, Development and Production, TV Land and Nick at Nite. “We are thrilled to continue to create originals for TV Land that celebrate all that is special about television.”

Told by the people who were there -- the stars, producers, network executives and others in the know -- viewers will laugh alongside these insiders as they share their stories, from the near-miss casting decisions to pilots featuring alternate storylines, to love on the set and behind the scenes controversy.

The first installment of TV Land Confidential -- “Network Notes” -- takes a look at what happens when networks, producers and sponsors provide feedback on the shows and characters. In candid interviews with Everybody Love Raymond Producer Phil Rosenthal, to Benson’s Robert Guillaume, to Happy Days’ Tom Bosley, these insiders tell their own anecdotes and observations into some of the funniest and interesting network notes they have been given. Also featured in this episode are: Debbie Allen (A Different World), Diana Canova (Soap), Dana Delaney (China Beach), Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeannie), Jasmine Guy (A Different World), Jennilee Harrison (Three’s Company), Sherwood Schwartz (My Favorite Martian, Brady Bunch) and Jaleel White (Family Matters).

Thanks. I would have been "back" sooner but the electricity was out from Monday to last night, and today, the phone lines went crazy so I couldn't get connected.

And to make it worst, most of my network affiliates come from New Orleans, which, basically, means that I'm out of school for a week, yet I have absolutely no way to watch my soaps.

But the other people are definately feeling more pain than I am :(

Looks like TV LAND confidential will be another interesting show like the Top Ten. I will admit, TV LAND gets a thumbs up for their creativity this year but defintely not for the shows they picked up.

V LAND GOES "DARK" IN HONOR OF FAMILY DAY ON SEPTEMBER 26

Classic TV Network Pre-Empts Regular Programming to Encourage
Families to Eat Dinner Together

Santa Monica, CA, September 19, 2005 - As part of its commitment to Family Day - A Day To Eat Dinner With Your Children, TV Land will pre-empt regularly-scheduled programming and "go dark" on September 26, from 6pm to 7pm (ET/PT) to encourage families to dine together. Over the last several months, people committed to eating together on Family Day have been registering participation at www.FamilyTable.info for their family, friends and loved ones. The Family Day Dinner Hour will feature photos submitted to the website of various families sharing meals and spending time together. Packaged like a scrapbook, the hour will display montages of the photos along with Family Day graphics, all set to easy-listening Americana and Jazz music.

Findings from a new report released on September 13th by CASA and sponsored by TV Land and Nick at Nite's Family Table - The Importance of Family Dinners II - reveals that how often a family eats dinner together is a powerful indicator of whether a teen is likely to smoke, drink or use drugs and whether the teen is likely to perform better academically. The study also reveals that teens and their parents wish they could have dinner together more often.

"Pre-empting TV Land's normal programming schedule is a symbolic gesture on our part to remind families of the importance of eating dinner together and sharing more than just meals at the table," states Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land and Nick at Nite. "Supporting Family Day was a natural fit for us and is just one part of TV Land and Nick at Nite's overall commitment to furthering our viewers' education on the importance of family dinners."

TV Land and Nick at Nite's Family Table: Share More Than Meals - Classic TV's very first pro-social initiative - has teamed up with The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University to encourage Americans to register to pledge to have dinner as a family on September 26th and, hopefully, use Family Day as a catalyst to make family dinners a regular part of their lives. CASA's Family Day, which was created in 2001, is a national effort designed to promote the benefits that come from families dining together on a consistent basis.

TV Land & Nick at Nite's Family Table was created by the two networks in 2003 and seeks to remind its viewers about the emotional and social benefits that come from taking the time to sit down and share with one another. Through a series of promotional spots - which both networks air in regular rotation daily - TV Land and Nick at Nite have committed over $11 million in on-air time annually to encourage viewers to experience the benefits of dining together.
