View Full Version : Name one TV Show that you like that you felt the main character wasn't fun to watch? TVFactFan 07-12-2005, 11:16 AM That show for me would be That's My Mama-Main character-"Clifton" Heather987 07-12-2005, 02:40 PM Will and Grace - Both of them are boring, I like to watch the show occasionally cause of the other characters, not Will or Grace they bore me. globalspot28 07-15-2005, 03:13 PM Will and Grace - Both of them are boring, I like to watch the show occasionally cause of the other characters, not Will or Grace they bore me. I totally agree. I find Grace kind of annoying. The two supporting characters are much funnier. Superstar 07-15-2005, 03:59 PM I totally agree. I find Grace kind of annoying. The two supporting characters are much funnier. the supporting characters also get much more attention IMO barwars 07-15-2005, 04:08 PM I'm not really a fan of Grace (nor Karen) on Will & Grace, but I think Will is hysterical. (as is Jack) TVFactFan 07-15-2005, 04:10 PM I'm not really a fan of Grace (nor Karen) on Will & Grace, but I think Will is hysterical. (as is Jack) But Will a Main character? barwars 07-15-2005, 04:17 PM But Will a Main character? Uhh, his name is in the title of the show. TripperFan 07-15-2005, 04:23 PM I'm not really a fan of Grace (nor Karen) on Will & Grace, but I think Will is hysterical. (as is Jack) I agree - Jack is the true star of the show. And of all of them on Seinfeld, I'd have to say Jerry was the most boring. I know even though he was the comedian, he played the straight man, but the rest of the cast were just more interesting. Belair 07-15-2005, 04:43 PM As much as I love the Nanny, I have to say that Fran never really appealed to me. I loved Niles and CC better. TVFactFan 07-15-2005, 07:08 PM Uhh, his name is in the title of the show. I asked what show do you like a lot because of a certain Supporting Character. You mentioned Will and I said he is not a supporting character. barwars 07-15-2005, 08:42 PM I asked what show do you like a lot because of a certain Supporting Character. You mentioned Will and I said he is not a supporting character. Ohhh. That makes sense. Nothing really. As TripperFan mentioned, Jerry was the weakest character of the four on Seinfeld, but I still found him very funny. Sam was at the bottom of the list of characters I liked on Cheers, but I still found him to be very funny. Michael is, IMO, the least funny Bluth on Arrested Development, but I still find him hilarious. Joe & Brian were pretty good on Wings, but the supporting characters stole the show. After a bunch of stalling, I finally found a series.... The Andy Griffith Show. I found Andy Taylor to be a boring character, Barney Fife was most definitely the only reason I ever turned into this show. A few other characters had their moments, but Don Knotts ruled this series. Mikado 07-15-2005, 10:59 PM I cant stand Judd Hirsh on Taxi....i always hoped one of the other drivers would run him over , coming into the garage  Adamantium 07-15-2005, 11:17 PM And of all of them on Seinfeld, I'd have to say Jerry was the most boring. He was the worst actor on "Welcome Back, Kotter". He seemed to just shout his lines. He was fine in the beginning and end of each episode, telling his jokes. But when it came to Kotter's interactions with the sweathogs, he was the worst actor. I also agree with Seinfeld, although him not being a great actor kind of made him funnier. I mean, it wouldn't be the same if he was a an great actor. Brieannas21 07-16-2005, 01:32 AM That reminds me of Gabe Kaplin. He was the worst actor on "Welcome Back, Kotter". Totally agree with WBK, he wasn't funny at all, also a lot of bad acting on that show GARFIELDKOOL 07-24-2005, 04:40 PM That show for me would be That's My Mama-Main character-"Clifton" This is easy for me.........Alice from "Alice" God, was she the most boring lead character I ever seen! I hated her character! She was too goody-good. I love the show, but I didn't like her. She had an excellent supporting cast that carried her show. I still say this show could have went on without her. Vic Tayback would have made an excellent lead. Dean Winchester 07-25-2005, 05:33 AM well, while not the "star" per se (but yet the character most synonimous with the show), I would say that I actually like J.J. least watching Good Times on TV Land. I also feel the same way with The Fonz on Happy Days. Both JJ and Fonzie were funny but I liked some of the other characters better. Chocoholic 07-25-2005, 01:38 PM I cant stand Judd Hirsh on Taxi....i always hoped one of the other drivers would run him over , coming into the garage  :brent I like Taxi, but I have to say the only two characters I find really funny are Louie and Reverend Jim. "What does a yellow light mean?" I don't care for Sam and Diane on Cheers too much. The supporting cast made the show, IMHO. Jim just cracked me up until I started to cry, you gotta lov'em. :rotflmao: Dude111 05-11-2026, 05:07 AM I would say "Alice" from the show ALICE! She wasnt at all REAL.. I guess these sitcoms arent meant to be REAL but she was just so dull on most episodes like the didnt really wanna be there! |
