TVFactFan 07-12-2005, 11:14 AM Character?
I would have liked Welcome Back Kotter a lot more if it wasn;t for Mr. Kotter's wife and I would have liked Good Times a lot more if it wasn;t for the character Penny.
Dude111 03-19-2026, 10:46 AM My God I cant believe you think that also!
She was annoying and didnt do much for the show..... I would also say Welcome back Kotter Solomon.....
No one’s mentioned One Day At A Time’s Schneider yet? Very disappointing. Where’s icecream?
I wasn’t gonna ask, but I decided to ask. What was wrong with Mrs. Kotter?
stevea 03-20-2026, 01:56 PM And have you changed your mind after 21 years?
And have you changed your mind after 21 years?
Oh crap, this was a 20 year Dude bump up. I thought it was new. I wouldn’t have responded if I’d noticed.
Dude111 03-20-2026, 09:57 PM The date doesnt matter Opus, the show is still being seen :)
And to answer your question: Mrs Kotter wasnt fit for that show :D

I'll add my 2 cents. I agree, I didn't find too much chemistry between Julie and Gabe Kotter. Didn't seem like a believable couple. And she was just kind of there. Very bland, not a great actress.

In defense of Dues, at least it's an OK topic to bump up. Not a useless thread that nobody would have any interest in. :)
Bonniegirl 03-21-2026, 02:53 PM I never liked Aunt Fran on Mama's family. I was glad when the show got revised and she was no longer on. Nor did I like Buzz and Sonia that much either. I loved the Iola and Bubba years. They were such good additions to the show.
Also I couldn't stand the older daughter on Father knows best.

That is an excellent show!!

I'm thinking I've read Rue McClanahan didn't like the Fran part.
Also I'm with you, Bonnie. I liked the later years of MF a lot more than the first two seasons.
And, Betty on FKB: I disliked the character. In the first year she was a ditzy teen, and they morphed her into a self-satisfied snot. And she was downright mean and a snob to her cousin who visited from the farm.
stevea 03-21-2026, 07:03 PM Also, adding two:
Maggie on Diff'rent Strokes--Dixie Carter established the role, and Mary Ann Mobley just didn't fit it in the last season.
Also, on Laverne and Shirley, I could have done without Phil Foster's shouted role as Laverne's father.
Dude111 03-21-2026, 07:32 PM Seems like they always do something to me$$ stuff up huh Stevie??
Bonniegirl 03-21-2026, 07:45 PM I don't really like the Baldwin sisters on The Waltons
I don't care for Phyllis or Murray on Mary Tyler Moore .
stevea 03-21-2026, 09:37 PM After 6 seasons on the Bob Newhart Show, Howard Borden was really wearing thin.
Ditto for Larry Darryl and Darryl on Newhart, especially their intro. that had to be repeated every time.
