Yesterday I rented a DVD of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. For those of you who aren't familiar with that show, they screen awful, terrible movies and make fun of them as you're watching---great show. Anyway, one of the movies was called "Angel's Revenge" from the 1970's. It was your typical C-grade action/adventure: a bunch of women in matching uniforms driving a van around and taking down drug dealers....complete with an awful disco soundtrack. Sorry to say it, but Alan Hale and Jim Backus were both in it! Alan Hale played Angel's agent/manager and Jim Backus played the evil villianous drug lord who apparently did nothing but live in an old shack in the woods, dress like a navy admiral, and order around dozens of henchmen. Boy, did this movie suck!!!! Another interesting cast member was Pat Buttram, who was Mr. Haney on Green Acres. He played the used car salesman who sold them the van. Needless to say the MST 3000 cast was making lots of Gilligan and Green Acres jokes. Poor Mr. Howell! Poor Skipper! I'm sure they were hoping no one noticed that they did this movie. :lol:

Heh. The prize for me from MST3K was "Space Children" - where Russell Johnson played a drunken, abusive scientist working on a massive nuke. At one fine point, the scientist is chasing his young son down the beach, obviously bent upon physical mayhem, and the 'bots are singing the Gilligan's Island song :)

"The Giant Spider Invasion" is another good one for Alan Hale.

I have not seen Angel's Revenge, but I have seen part of the Giant Spider Invasion.
