I don't get this at all.

Blame Paramount. Ned & Stacey is from Sony, so they don't have to wait for Wings or anyone to release it.

Different company that's why. I'm not happy about it, but Sony's trying to capitalize on Debra Messing's and Thomas Haden Church's fame. You would think Paramount would want to capitalize on Thomas Haden Chruch's and Tony Shalboub's fame :mad:

I hate to say it, but I think if one of the 3 leads - Timothy Daly, Steven Weber, Crystal Bernard- had gone on to make something happen (ala Monk with Shalhoub, or Sideways with Church) the show would be on DVD.

It's a shame.

i dont care which is released first as long as they both are, id rather have official releases over my homemade collection

Someone said they read somewhere that Paramount is waiting for all of Cheers to be released before they focus on Wings. I have a feeling that's probaby true :(

Same creators, and a few Cheers stars guesting on Wings, that's about all

I honestly think Wings isn't too far off. Since Thomas Haden Church has hit stardom, Wings will follow soon.

Although I like "Wings" more, I also like "Ned & Stacey" and am very excited about the DVD release. I figured it would come soon since Thomas Haden Church did "Sideways". Afterall, Debra Messing is famous for "Will & Grace", and Greg Germann is famous for "Alley McBeal". Why wouldn't Sony give it a shot. I just wish they were releasing it the same way they are releasing "That's My Mama." Since I'm not too confident the first season will be a big seller.

Looking at the back of the box, Sony is definitely playing up the fact that THC is an Oscar nominee, and Messing is on W&G.

That's -exactly- what it is..Sony figures that people will see Thomas Haden Church and Debra Messing, and see how great they are doing and consider buying the DVD just on that matter..and they are right...so many people out there get hooked on an actor and buy whatever they are in regardless if they've seen it or not.

It's all about the dollar signs....Too bad Tim, Steven and Crystal didn't get big Hollywood movie deals or anything...but hey you never know...

I thought Paramount would release Cheers, Frasier, and Wings all at once.
