Today's modles are to skinny for my taste. Most of the women in hollywood (younger stars some older) like to be skinny.I'm not naming any names. The most recent fade now is this website where girls likes to be real thin, you can see the rib bones, and there skeleton. This has been going on for years, but making yourself sick just to be skinny is just plan maddness. I have never met any body with Aneroxia, but knew of girls who had it. But todays fashion sence is when young girls sometimes even boys, who want to look like the modle on tv,or in magizines start making them throw up is just to wrong. To me there just sending mix messages to young girls thin is in,like I said the website featuring skeleton girls see there rib cage should be shut down, I saw it on somewhere which I do not know the name of the site, but you can probably find it. Young girls need positive role modles just like young boys, but looking at skinny women on tv is not a good role modles for any one.

I BEG to differ. :snob: you could easily spear a thick noodle with a fork and you wouldn't have to be primitive and used chop sticks.

but I LIKE the sauce :snob:

i also ENJOY using the chopsticks - and they CAN be just as easily used as a weapon while eating.

Hey! Don't disregard primitive. There is a reason the Japanese and Chinese have used them for so long: They actually work! :p

But anyway. I agree with the original point of the topic. Get some meat on your bones. Looking healthy is far more attractive than starving yourself.

At the same time, if a woman has Anorexia, the last thing a person should do is critisize. The girl has a problem and is probably seeking acceptance. Although your concern is justified, it will not help the situation, because she will feel threatened and even more ugly.

That was my 25 cents.

But on a serious note, skinny models have ALWAYS been the 'in' thing. Nothing new there.

Are noodles considered a member of the pasta family?

Or is pasta a member of the noodle family?

Oh, models shouldn't be too skinny.

;)I think they're both in different families entirelly. Tell an italian that noodles are pasta, they just might kill you, LOL. Joking. ;)

On a side note, don't diss chopsticks.. I use them everyday! And yup, they work. :p

I CANNOT believe how uncoordinated I am with those things!!! All my life I have tried to get the hang of them and I STILL can't. Friends laugh - other patrons point fingers! I was so niave, it took me ten minutes to figure out why the tables in a Chinese restaurant sat higher than others. I thought I was going to end up putting someone's eye out - I think the owner did too because his wife walks over with a huge smile and a fork and knife for me!

Really? LOL. I didn't even know that! NOW who's the naive one? LOL! ;)

And I laughed at your little story, haha. Thanks for sharing. :D Are you a lefty or righty? I use both, so it doesn't matter-- I can teach you either! LOL!

Hold one like you would hold a pencil and make sure it goes between your ring & middle finger.... then place another on top (hold them between your index and thumb)...and then move your middle/ring/pinky fingers away from your thumb/index. Do not move your thumb/index...make sure your pinky/ring fingers are "glued" together (do not separate them)... and TADA! LOL. Got it?

cook ramen as you normally would, drain, mix in a dollop of ranch dressing and seasoning packet, apply liberally to bread (toast optional).

hilarity ensues.

Noodles are made with eggs. Pasta isn't. There is a difference!

LOL!! Yah, apparently they're a little higher so it's easier to shovel the rice in (got that from that Wayne Lam buddy of mine - unless he was pulling my leg ;) )
I'm a righty, and yah, I know all about holding the bottom one like a pencil and then the other one on top - I do that, and EVERYTHING freezes up! I'm a total spaz with them! I end up just putting one in each hand and using them like sticks! I guess it's a riot to watch since everybody ended up rolling on the floor. I was fine until I got to the yeung chow fried rice - the shrimps were all I could "stab"!! Brutal dopey causasian!! :D
They're going to start posting "wanted" signs in the restaurants in Chinatown saying, "If you see this woman - DO NOT let her use chopsticks - and we're even concerned about giving her a fork!"

And it was worth a $1! Good advice - anorexia isn't truly about wanting to be thin. Its about hating one's self. :(

What is ramen??? "Everybody Loves Ramen"??? ;)

And Ramen is the brand-name of a type of noodles (usually instant). Oberserve LOL.
