Whose photo did Alex keep on his nightstand?

I'm getting conflicting answers. Some say it is Richard Nixon and others say it is William F. Buckley, Jr. This website says Buckley's portrait was on a wall, not on a nightstand.

Can any of you help me out?

Nixon's. Buckley's picture was on the wall above his bed.
