What is meant by a dual double layer drive and also are external dvd writers better than internal ones, and can you copy from DVD to DVD using an external one and an internal dvd rom on your pc?

A Dual Layer burner can right 8.5 GB of data to one disk. Only drives that are Dual Layer compatible can right to those specific disks. External & Internal drives, not really any difference in performance other than one sits outside your PC while the other goes into a bay space. I prefer internals, I like hate having external equipment sitting all over the place. Yes you can copy that way, you can also just copy disk to disk by using one drive. swedeace 07-09-2005, 04:39 PM Yeah, I just found out what it meant too, and I think it's especially nice for backup purposes! |
