View Full Version : If a Female wakes up on a July Morning, looks out the window and see that it's
TVFactFan 07-08-2005, 08:01 PM raining, why would she still walk out the house with SANDLES on her feet???? Can someone help me? I'm confused again-lol It was pouring down raining this morning and I can believe how many females were wearing Sandles. The only reason I noticed this is because there was a woman in front of my building with sandles on so I wanted to see if there was any other woman just as dumb as she was.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-08-2005, 08:11 PM If its warm out, Ill wear sandals. I hate wearing socks and shoes and they get all soggy from the rain. Ick.
Mijada 07-08-2005, 08:11 PM Maybe because they're nice and comfy and the cool rain falling on her feet was soothing. I love to walk in the rain barefooted or with flip flops.
Or she just may have been too lazy to go put a regular pair of shoes and socks on.
Anyways if you wear shoes and socks in the pouring rain they get all squishy and your feet start to get all itchy and uncomfortable.
Nighthawk76 07-08-2005, 08:29 PM Sandles are really popular on woman right now. I live in Illinois and last winter there were girls and woman that were wearing sandles and flip flops in the middle of the winter when there was snow on the ground. I see women and girls working in the mall with dresses on and wearing flip flops, which looks totally stupid. It is just one of those fads that'll be really big for a while and then will go out of style. It's like in the eighties when girls were wearing socks with high heel shoes...which was really stupid looking.
Penny Lane 07-08-2005, 08:45 PM Sandals not sandles. Sorry, I have this spelling thing....................
Nighthawk76 07-08-2005, 08:49 PM Sandals not sandles. Sorry, I have this spelling thing....................
That's oaky. I admit to not being a very good speller.
Pitooey 07-08-2005, 08:52 PM I wear sandals if I'm going to run into my car and drive off to the local store.
I wouldn't wear them if I were to stay out a longer time though because your feet get wet and the sandals slip and slide.
Maybe these gals were going to a local store?
TripperFan 07-08-2005, 08:57 PM It's not as though grown women jump in puddles when its raining!!! Unless it's a torrential downpour, your feet shouldn't get wet.

Don't feel bad. My niece who is a college graduate and a school teacher is a very poor speller! We get on her case all of the time. But for some people spelling is a very hard thing!
Titania 07-08-2005, 10:13 PM i wore flip flops this morning and it was pouring rain...

You wasn't supposed to do that-lol By going outside in the rain in Flip Flops, doesn't that make your feet DIRTY??
Titania 07-08-2005, 10:28 PM You wasn't supposed to do that-lol By going outside in the rain in Flip Flops, doesn't that make your feet DIRTY??
nah, i mean, this morning i was just walking out to my car....and rain's water, makes them a little wet but not dirty.

I'm opposed to real shoes any part of the year ;)
Courtnee 07-08-2005, 11:56 PM Call me old-fashioned,but I always have to wear socks and sneakers outside.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 07-09-2005, 12:49 AM Bleh, everyone at school wore flip-flops. It's becoming some trend. I don't like them, maybe just for summer. I hate the ones that go through your toes. It's annoying.

It is just a trend though, three years from now it will been replaced by some other goofy fad.
dawsongirl 07-09-2005, 02:58 AM I'd do it because then I could take the wet shoes off and dry my feet faster. Wet socks are NASTY!

I HATE THOSE!!!
~LadyJess~ 07-09-2005, 01:34 PM i wore flip flops this morning and it was pouring rain...
yeah, im opposed to real shoes in summer.
I'm opposed to real shoes in the summer too. Starting in April, I only wear flip flops and wear them through October or so. The only times I wear real shoes in the summer is when I am at work or golfing.
AllIWantIsYourClutch 07-09-2005, 01:36 PM Flip flops are the best things ever. Especially if you get them from Old Navy because they're cheap. I love them.

Yes, two pairs for $5.35. Best deal ever. :D
Kazza 07-09-2005, 02:00 PM If I see that it has been raining I don't wear sandals. I don't like my feet to get wet or my nice shoes for that matter. If it starts raining while I'm out and wearing sandals..that's a different story
TVFactFan 07-09-2005, 02:23 PM Females should only wear Flip Flops if they are going to the beach. Not on a date, not to the Mall, or to Work, That's when women are supposed to wear sandals

I would never wear them on a date or to work but that is just me. People should wear what is comfortable for them. As long as their attire is not obscene or offensive it's their own business how they dress.
I personally hate when guys wear big baggy pants hanging off their butt along with crooked baseball caps but who am I to go up to them and tell them how to dress? It's their business not mine.
swedeace 07-09-2005, 04:36 PM I've always loved wearing sandals, especially during the warmer months. I rarely wear socks from May - August (our warmest months). It depends on how much it is raining. If it's an occasion where I'm going straight to work or to the store, then I will continue wearing sandals if the weather is rainy. I mean, it's like not I'm going to be walking aimlessly around the parking lot or anything while it's raining... :p
I'd do it because then I could take the wet shoes off and dry my feet faster. Wet socks are NASTY!
I second that. Not only that but there's a much higher chance of developing foot fungus. I mean, think about it....wet feet hidden inside wet socks? That's a quick way of bacteria to grow. No thanks... I'll outweigh sandals to that....
The Modfather 07-09-2005, 04:43 PM I don't wear shoes in rain or sun. I only wear my Birkenstocks when I go into places (mall, stores, etc...)
Nighthawk76 07-09-2005, 05:40 PM Flip flops should never be worn in the workplace. People should make at least some attempt to look nice and professional for work.
robyrob 07-09-2005, 07:09 PM Females should only wear Flip Flops if they are going to the beach. Not on a date, not to the Mall, or to Work, That's when women are supposed to wear sandals
why are you looking at all of these women's FEET?
i think that they should wear their sandals with socks because it would be even more annoying, and that HANDLES would be ever so much more useful.
The Modfather 07-09-2005, 07:25 PM A girl who was in some of my classes last year wore sandles with big thick socks everyday as some sort of "fashion statment"... I just thought she was weird.

Then again, I almost got suspended for not wearing my shoes around school too many times.

Oh yes, I love Old Navy flip flops...2 for $5 at the end of the season!! I'd never wear them to work, but just about everywhere else!
I'll wear them out from about March through November.
TripperFan 07-09-2005, 10:34 PM Then again, I almost got suspended for not wearing my shoes around school too many times.
Reminds me of a girl I went to highschool with. She didn't wear shoes from basically April to November - or whenever the snow started. I couldn't believe it. She'd just wear those barely there flipflops while in class because she had to, but would take them off and go barefoot in the halls, outside, and everywhere else. Her feet must have been like elephant skin.
I used to go barefoot a lot in the summer, but there's no way I would now.
