I hope soon TV Land can rerun the first five years again; the ones in black and white with the oldest son Mike. I think those were the best; kind of like Nick at Nite did in the 80's. It just seems after Mike got married, he never came back for a visit, and was hardly ever talked about. Once they adopted Ernie, it was as if Mike never existed. I hope Tv Land can show the ones again with Bub and Mike.

It was very frustrating that Mike never came for a visit-especially when Robbie and later Steve got married he wasn't even mentioned (they could have least said Mike sent a telegram). I can understand why Tim Considine wanted to move on to other things but an ocassional visit from him (and Meredith McRae) would not have been out of line. I heard Tim left because he wanted to direct some episodes and the producers would not let him. But I never understood why he never came back at least for a visit-after a year he was never even mentioned by name again.
As for Bub, they should have done a tribute episode to him when Bill Frawley died, or least acknowlege in later years that the boy's grandfather took care of them after their mother died and before Uncle Charley arrived.

I hope someday someone will bring us the first five seasons of MY THREE SONS to the small screen again. I was too young to remember the b&w episodes when they originally aired, but I did see a few of them in the 90's and really enjoyed them. I Tvland or anyone else can bring it back, I hope someday soon we can see it on DVD.
