View Full Version : Most Memorable TV couple to you from the 1970's? TVFactFan 07-07-2005, 08:45 AM I think it's defintely George and Weezy. The way they left Queens together to start a new life in Manhattan riding inside a cab while George tries to comfort her, the Jeffersons to me will always stand out as the TV Couple of the 70's. Well Edith would alway hug and kiss on Archie. When he would come home from work, she would run and greet him (Welcome home Archie). Archie wasn't the touchy feely type man in the "whole sitcom world." The romantic relationship between David Birney and Meredith Baxter showed on screen Tom and Sandra Sue "Abby" Bradford - Eight Is Enough. Given that it was a significant age difference I liked the chemistry between Dick Van Patten and Betty Buckley. Betty turned in some powerful performances on 8 is Enough as Abby.
