folbartman 07-07-2005, 12:52 AM VOTE NOW!!!!
It's once again here! Don't miss out on a chance to vote for The Facts of Life to be released on DVD. You may vote for only one show. When finished voting the results show how the placing of each series is doing. The Facts of Life is not currently in the top spot, so lets get more votes for a release. Brieannas21 07-07-2005, 12:55 AM Yeah it's dropping in the polls fast.
TV DVD Fan 07-07-2005, 12:47 PM We can't let that happen Brieannas21! Ask your relatives to vote, ask their permission for you to go onto their screen names and vote for them, ask people in your houses, apartments, friends, people on the streets to vote! Beg your fellow board buddies, create multiple screen names! We must have the first release be FOL S1-2!
pat
Gizmo1 07-07-2005, 12:50 PM I voted..I was going to vote like 1 million times but it sucks that you can only vote once. I knew you could only vote for one show, so I was going to vote for the same show each time.
ClassicTV4Ever 07-07-2005, 06:24 PM I don't know why they put FOL on the poll. All they have to do is have someone go look at www.tvshowsondvd.com and see that it's #6 in the top 10 most wanted for release. They should know by now that many many people are just dying for it.
80schild.com 07-07-2005, 07:13 PM You Can vote more than once...I've voted a couple of times in one day.
folbartman 07-08-2005, 12:44 AM I've probably voted Four times already. I voted again tonight. Just clear your history. and refresh the page that gives you a link. It is amazing how the results are changing quickly, last night Johnny Cash show (never heard of it) was in dead last, now it's number two. Fol is dropping in the poll, but at least it is staying in like number 3 I think.
80schild.com 07-08-2005, 05:26 PM Yeah that was pretty weird how Johnny Cash Show gained so fast...
Dean Winchester 07-08-2005, 06:17 PM like Pavanbadal has said many times, these polls really are useless. Three of the shows listed are definately coming out later this year (One Day At A Time, Designing Women and Silver Spoons) and both Benson and Facts Of Life are highly probable to come soon. They don't need a poll to tell them what to release.
folbartman 07-09-2005, 01:23 AM Yeah youre right. I bet with in 5 years every tv sitcom will have been already released on DVD (if its going to get a release). I just saw the poll results again, now the Johnny Cash show is in 1st with 44% of votes, One Day at a Time Follows with 24%. Boy Sony will be sorry when they release The Johnny Cash Show on DVD and realize nobody is buying it. :)
I wish FOL was owned by a different distributor like Paramount. They are known for releasing their TV Shows on dvd every three months. It hasn't even been a year and the Brady Bunch is already preparing for their third season.
The Jeffersons (owned by sony) has been out for like 3 years and only 3 releases. They are so horrible at releasing their tv shows. I've also noticed Sony doesn't own very many good repitable tv shows, too bad, they could be selling sets like paramount is.
FOLthegreat 07-09-2005, 02:21 AM I think Sony doesn't like me or has cursed me because both my favorite shows, Classic Wheel of Fortune (on GSN) and The Facts of Life (on N@N) have both been taken off so I cannot see them. Wheel of Fortune has been replaced with more stupid GSN shows like Extreme Dodgeball and "This stupid Chuck Woolery Lingo XIXMCV Love Connection with co host only 70 years younger than him" show and Facts of Life with ****ING FULL HOUSE!!!!! Full House is bad lol
The Duke of Spoook! 07-16-2005, 11:37 PM I dought that they'll release FOL or any other show that they haven't yet released on DVD when brand new formats like HD-DVD and Blue Ray are just around the horizon. HD-DVD to begin selling late this year and Blue Ray to release 6 months after that. Sony may instead release all 209 eppisodes plus extras all on 1 single disk on either one of those two new formats instead. Think about it. Do you want to have FOL on 41 DVD's or all 209 eppisodes on one single HD-DVD or Blue Ray disk? It's worth waiting till Christmas this year or June, 2006(in the case of Blue Ray video disks) if you ask me. Just have faith. And BTW, I'm probably already assuming they're showing FOL eppisodes on at least 1 HDTV only channel. Why, because they're also showing only on HDTV channels not available on cable or satellite shows like Silver Spoons, Punky Brewster, Small Wonder, and The Wander Years. Damn those HDTV exclusive channels. Now I want to have an HDTV set and those HDTV exclusive TV(non movie) channels that only the well paid upper crust can afford.
