View Full Version : Why, oh, why, Comcast On Demand!
seventies_sitcoms 07-06-2005, 07:31 PM You added S.W.A.T. to my Comcast on Demand today. Why didn't you guys choose a Columbia/ Sony sitcom like "ODAAT" instead of an hour long drama/action show. If you had to do that you should've picked Police Woman instead! :(

The Three Stooges and Diffrent Strokes are very unnecessary to add but I will still record all i can. But yeah it would be nice to see ODAAT on Comcast on Demand. They need to also take that dumb a$$ Barney Miller off

It would be nice to see any of those on Time Warner on Demand, we don't get any of those old shows. I'd be recording SWAT, ODAAT even Barney Miller every chance I get.
Question for you with Comcast On Demand; do they show the whole episodes uninterrupted or are there promo breaks during the eps?

All the eps are Uncut and there are pauses between the first 12 min of the ep and end of the episode. No promos. So yes they are uninteruppted

The pauses: do you mean like a one or two second fade out like on a dvd?

YUP. A quck fade out and then back to the episode.
Brian Damage 07-16-2005, 11:13 AM What exactly is Comcast on Demand? What shows do they offer? Do you have to pay for it?

It's a new feature that allows a viewer to watch free movies, tv shows, or sports. The viewer can watch any TV show whenever they want. They have a TV Show section called Tube Time and these are the 7 shows you can watch and record UNCUT
Barney Miller
Diffrent Strokes
Maude
Starsky and Hutch
S.W.A.T
Jeff Foxworthy
Three Stooges
Brian Damage 07-16-2005, 11:26 AM That's a pretty cool feature to have.

Yeah I didn't even know I had the feature unti seventies_sitcoms posted the Info on the Maude Board. So that's when I called the Cable Company cussing them out because They never notified me about the new feature. They can send out shut off notices but can't send out info on New Cable features.lol

It took them a few months, but Comcast heard you, you lucky Comcast subscribers. At least Sony is putting Police Woman on dvd. I hope ODAAT is on the way to dvd soon also.
