Has anyone heard about Natasha Bedingfield, shes a singer from UK I think and she has a song out now called "These Words" and its getting alot of radio play and has an album coming out on August 2nd, I don't really listen to pop music but this song is cool I like it.

yes, she's good.

Her older brother is Daniel Bedingfield of "If You're Not The One"/"Gotta Get Through This" fame

I'm glad I'm not the only person who likes her. I've liked her music for over a year now, I've been listening to it from a fan site. She's pretty popular in the UK as well, These Words hit number 1 in the singles chart and her album debuted at number 1 as well.

one hit wonder? Daniel had two big hits in the US, and he's had like 9 or 10 in the UK. If You're Not The One was just as big as Gotta Get Through This here, if not even bigger.

Daniel isn't as big in the UK as he used to be, Natasha is more popular than him right now

he released a second album, and Nothing Hurts Like Love was a top 5 hit in the UK, but it still hasn't come out here even though it's been out since Xmas last year overseas.

am I the only person who thought "I like this new Nelly Furtado song" when they first heard These Words?

I would think so. I don't think she sounds like Nelly Furtado at all

I don't even know who Nelly Furtado is

rofl, now I'm feeling old. It was only about four years ago when Nelly Furtado was popular. She had hits with Turn Off The Light and I'm Like A Bird. Her second album was a bomb when it came out in 2003 though. These Words sounds a lot like something she'd sing, and the voices are pretty similar.

These Words seems a little too upbeat and poppy for Nelly Furtado to sing.

Don't feel old, I wasnt familiar with her becasue I don't listen to a lot of pop music, im more or a rock/metal kinda guy, its just once in a while I her a pop singer/band that catches my attention and I discover I like them, Natasha for example.

It was but I think that I'm Like A Bird is still really mellow when you compare it to These Words. Its hard to explain why I don't think there's a comparison
