This episode made a mistake - did Jesse forget how to play basketball? He played in the episode in season 2 where it flashbacks to when Joey and Danny met. Joey and Jesse played basketball. Also, in the episode where cousin Steve visits, they mention playing B-Ball (Basketball). So, I think they just forgot Jesse could play?

Thoughts?

I personally didn't like that episode very much. But they have slipped up a few times. I mean, nobody's perfect, right?
A couple slip ups that really bothered me were them saying that Uncle Jesse dropped out of high school, and they had the storyline where he went to high school then graduated later in the series, but earlier in the series, before he married Rebecca, he went to a high school reunion and played with the band, and kissed his ex-girlfriend, etc.
Also, the last name change always bothered me.

Also, in the one season 6 episode Jesee knew nothing about hockey and couldn't skate worth a lick, yet only the year before Joey and Danny invited him to play on their station hockey team implying he could skate and knew enough about hockey. Also, Becky mentions having multiple brothers yet at her wedding we only saw her sister Connie. This was worse because it was only one year apart where the basketball one was 5-6 years although by then the early episodes were already repeating in syndication.

Well every show has contunity(sp?) problems. See Boys Meets World. I think that show was the worst at it. They even picked on themselves about it.

I was always somewhat confused by this episode too. Jesse never seemed to me like the type of guy who would not be good at Sports. And yes he did play Basketball and football in the episode where Danny's Nephew comes for a visit. In Syndication they cut out a scene with Danny, Joey, Jesse, and Steve passing a Basketball around in the livingroom.

Talking about inconsistancy. One that bothers me is Becky not being able to sing. She sang on the telethon. She sang some other time, I don't remember, but then in a later episode, she is a TERRIBLE singer (the one where the boys don't want her to sing "Teddy Bear" with them).
