MPI has an updated listing for the PJ DVDs on their website.

"Bonus Features:
- New, trivia-packed Episode Introductions by series star Linda Kaye Henning (Betty Jo Bradley).
- "The History Of Hooterville" - a new full-length documentary with cast member interviews, rare footage and recollections from series creator Paul Henning.
- Original Cast Sponsor Commercials - the Petticoat actors sell Tide and Ivory soap
- Vintage TV Interview with series star Bea Benaderet (Kate Bradley)
- Original Petticoat Junction network promo"

DVD Planet listed the documentary length as 20-30 minutes, but this new listing (from the horse's mouth, as it were) calls the documentary "full-length". Wonder if that means longer than 30 minutes?

They also had this to say about the documentary:

"THE HISTORY OF PAUL HENNING and HOOTERVILE Featuring Linda Kaye Henning, Frank Cady, Lori Saunders, Gunilla Hutton, Shirley Mitchell and Charles Lane ."

...and I don't think the Bea Benaderet interview had been previously announced.

Can't wait for this set!

Me either, should be great. I wasn't aware of the old interview, no. Should be an exciting DVD experience! Looks like MPI is going all out for the new Ultimate Collection Lines. These extras will makeup for the blow of MGM not including extras on the GA sets!

The documentary is actually over 44 minutes long. Mike Minor is also interviewed, although it may not be a recent one. There are a few clips of an older interview with Paul Henning as well.

The Bea Benaderet interview clip is only like 3 minutes long. It seems like she would have been on longer.

Those extras sound great, TJ. I cant understand why every e-tailer I saw said the doc was 20 minutes or so when it ended up to be double that, though!
