Everytime I got to the library, I walk right past the tapes, but I never really browse to see what is available. You're right though. Being it's a public library (and publically funded), they often have out-of-print titles, the same ones they have had for 10-15 years or longer. If you find a goodie, you just have to hope it's not worn out having been played several hundred times.

hi, i agree on some being viewed hundreds of times. it just depends on the title. i know the childrens titles like barney etc might have alot of usage, but some of the lesser known titles probably have very little usage. when you think of renting a video, where do you think of first--a videostore or the library? i think most people think of the videostore. only those of us that frequent the library think about the video collection. i have borrowed several titles from our local library that had only been viewed a few times. thanks
