Just recently announced: the second season of "The Doris Day Show" will be out in October. This is the season where Maclean Stevenson joins the cast as Doris's ornery boss at Today's World Magazine in San Francisco. Rose Marie of "The Dick Van Dyke Show" fame plays a co-worker at the magazine.

yea, he was on that show for 1 season, then he was fired. He was also a regular on a short-lived variety show that Tim Conway had, before he joined "MASH".

by the way, there's a funny story about that. When he first was approached about it, they asked him if he had seen the movie, or read the book. He said he hadn't, so they asked him to see the movie first, to see what Col. Blake was like. At that time, it was only playing in a small handful of theaters, but he looked in the paper and finnally found one. So, he drove to it, and got ther just a few minutes before it started. So, he bought his ticket and went inside, just as the lights came down. Then, the movie started & he discovered the entire thing was in spanish!! :lol: :lol:

ACTUALLY MACLEAN STEVENSON WAS ON THE DORIS DAY SHOW FOR TWO SEASONS. I HAVE THE DVD IT HAS BLOOPERS OF DORIS AND MAC AS SOME OF THE SPECIAL FEATURES. GOOD BONUS! BUT THE DDS IS VERY SITCOMY IN PLOT UNLIKE MASH.
