Nothing hits a new low like someone trashing someone in their birthday thread. If you don't like a person, that's fine but never bash someone in their birthday thread.

It is very rude and should never be done. If you don't like someone then leave their thread alone. PZelda 07-04-2005, 03:43 PM I agree. It automatically makes you eligible for a kick in the crotch when you do something like that. TripperFan 07-04-2005, 04:12 PM My thoughts exactly Brian! I've seen a couple of members birthday threads that weren't "my favourites" (or I didn't know them well) and I just stayed out of the thread. I found the one today in very poor taste and it only made the poster look worse (than he normally does) and the comment made (coming from someone approx. 13 yrs older) was extremely juvenile.:meangya: TripperFan 07-04-2005, 04:13 PM I agree. I think a couple of people did - that messes me right up - don't you know you're supposed to clear that with me first?! ;) Hi Sonny (thank God for your sig)! David 07-04-2005, 04:36 PM I agree, that's a horrible thing to do. robyrob 07-04-2005, 04:59 PM but good-natured "ribbing" is still OK right? Janice 07-04-2005, 05:16 PM I cleaned up Sarah's birthday thread. In the future, please report an insult in a birthday thread (or any thread) as opposed to making a thread about it. And yes, good-natured ribbing is allowed. :) G-Force Glockstar 07-04-2005, 05:27 PM What have people been saying? :( Janice 07-04-2005, 05:29 PM What have people been saying? :( No sense in rehashing it. It's over. TripperFan 07-04-2005, 05:31 PM but good-natured "ribbing" is still OK right? Yours was hilarious!! (as always). ;) I'm just upset that it couldn't be topped - she'll love it! robyrob 07-04-2005, 05:33 PM And yes, good-natured ribbing is allowed. :) what about in Lindsay Lohan Birthday threads? can we "bash" there? if we keep it civil? I mean, its not like she's a REAL person or anything... Nighthawk76 07-04-2005, 05:37 PM what about in Lindsay Lohan Birthday threads? can we "bash" there? if we keep it civil? I mean, its not like she's a REAL person or anything... Mr. Television 07-04-2005, 05:43 PM Hey - just noticed - did you change your SN over the weekend? Yea as long as I keep my name in my signature I should be alright.  Nighthawk76 07-04-2005, 05:47 PM Birthday bashing is uncool. Janice 07-04-2005, 05:55 PM what about in Lindsay Lohan Birthday threads? can we "bash" there? if we keep it civil? I mean, its not like she's a REAL person or anything... Actually, that's Brian's board, so he makes the call on that. I vote Yes though. Karen* 07-04-2005, 06:00 PM That's just low. If you don't like someone, don't bother posting anything in their birthday thread and keep your stupid-ass insults to yourself. -_- robyrob 07-04-2005, 06:08 PM  Actually, that's Brian's board, so he makes the call on that. I vote Yes though. well, if Brian sees fit to delete my comments, i will respectfully abide by his decision. ....in the meantime though, lets all chip in together and buy Lindsay a sandwich!! Karen* 07-04-2005, 06:09 PM ....in the meantime though, lets all chip in together and buy Lindsay a sandwich!! Yeah! Nighthawk76 07-04-2005, 06:09 PM That's just low. If you don't like someone, don't bother posting anything in their birthday thread and keep your stupid-ass insults to yourself. -_- Unless it is Lindsay Lohan's birthday thread...in that case I think everyone should feel free to post insults. Just joking! ;) Brian 07-04-2005, 06:13 PM Thread closed (mods can close threads they start even if it isn't on their board). I just had to get it out and I'm probably sure that others wanted to get it out as well. If you see a post like that in the birthday thread again, report it. DON'T WAIT for someone else to do it. There were several people in that thread that called that person on it when really they could have used that "report this post to a moderator" button. I admit I should have done it myself but it could have been handled before if someone stepped up. 99 percent of what I moderate comes from that button and much of what Janice moderates comes from the help of the RTPTAM button. Done. |
