I'm going to see fireworks, too.
And, like last year, I'm going to do the smart thing and bicycle over there to avoid the huge traffic jam that happens when everyone tries to leave at the same time after the show. The newspaper estimates there will be about 60,000 people there but I don't think it will be that many.

I just came back from the fireworks and now I hear fireworks being shot up a few houses from me. It feels like I'm in a battle Zone. :lol:

The same things happening here. I tried to get my dog to go outside but she wouldn't budge. :lol:

I don't think I will be celebrating the Fourth again. Not in the traditional way, in any case. I find it unstimulating. The boom of the fireworks, the drunks, the wild parties. I can do without all of that.

I did see "War of the Worlds". It was really good. Maybe I'll watch movies instead. I just don't like all the hype that holiday brings. I can't feel pride for what I'm supposed to with all the racket.
