why is W&G on Lifetime already? doesn't it get played enough on WGN and on local syndication?

Seriously...

Or is it leaving WGN???

I guess Unsolved Mysteries is doing decent if they are keeping it on twice a day in the middle of the day.

What's gone:The Golden Palace after Sept. 16 airing

Shouldn't Lifetime wait and see how the ratings are before getting rid of it so soon?

UM has been with Lifetime for years and years now (I think Lifetime even made new episodes of it), so yeah, its safe to say it gets great ratings.

I'm indifferent to W&G joining the lineup. I for one can't until "Reba" comes next year!

I think what Lifetime should do is just put Golden Palace mixed in with the Golden Girls, like when they finish season 7, instead of going back to the beginning, air the Golden Palace season, then go back to season 1, and so on...

Been on since 1992... and yes, they did make new episodes in 2001 and 2002, and then Robert Stack died. :(

There are some segments produced in the 15 year history of the show that Lifetime has never shown.

The reason I ask is about a year and a half ago... (Late 2003), Lifetime relegated it to 1am Sunday Mornings(death slot). Then in January 2004 it came back to airing once a day after Providence flopped, and then last summer it was back to airing 2 episodes each weekday.

This doesn't make sense. Lifetime is going to air The Golden Palace for one month and then quit?

I am, of course, very pleased to see Unsolved Mysteries still on the schedule twice a day! :D

well, I believe the Golden Palace was just a one-time airing

Will & Grace will be leaving WGN this fall, I believe. Golden Palace as its own is only for the summer, I'm not sure what they will do after September 16 with it. One possibility is to air it in the Golden Girls rotation, as someone mentioned here. And ALL the episodes of Golden Palace will air anyway for those 6-7 weeks, so TAPE them. It's not that hard to do.

why is W&G on Lifetime already? doesn't it get played enough on WGN and on local syndication? I thought it was coming to Lifetime in 2006  Guess the reason why Mad About You is leaving Lifetime is that it is going to Nick At Nite in 2006.

Mad About You will also be joining Lifetime's rival network Oxygen in 2006.

I wonder if the N@N/Oxygen contract with Mad About You is the same as the one both networks have with Roseanne.

So is Lifetime losing the rights or removing it due to low ratings???

I think it's a combination of both. I believe Mad About You was a total flop for Lifetime and the contract expires in 2006.

I wonder if the N@N/Oxygen contract with Mad About You is the same as the one both networks have with Roseanne.

They both start airing it in March 2006. It is a shared deal, Oxygen can only air Mad About You between 9am-8pm, with Nick@Nite airing it the other times (between 8pm-9am). Roseanne has a similar deal, the times might be different on that. There are a lot of shared deals for hot properties, like Full House (ABC Family and Nick@Nite), Cosby Show (TBS and Nick@Nite), and the upcoming Little House on the Prairie (on TV Land and Hallmark). Fresh Prince airs on 2 networks owned by the same company (The N/Nick@Nite), so that is NOT a shared deal. In June 2007, TBS and Nick@Nite will share Home Improvement.

The Mad About You shared deal is strange because it has never done well in syndication, while the other shared shows have done REALLY well.

They won't lose rights until early 2006, Mad About You will remain on Lifetime: Real Women this fall.

I wonder if Will & Grace will perform well on Lifetime. The network doesn't seem to have much luck with sitcoms unless it's the Golden Girls or The Nanny.

Lifetime's loosing the rights to The Nanny in 2009, I believe. That's when the show heads to Nick @ Nite.

I believe Frasier is heading to Lifetime in a few years as well. I don't picture that doing very well on Lifetime...

No it won't WGN will still have W&G for the fall. It will however add one new program for the fall. Sex & the City. Now pavanbadal, I also know that along with W&G on Lifetime, That '70s Show will start airing their episodes on FX along with Fear Factor and King of the Hill this fall too. Have you heard any word on that yet?

Where did you read W&G is not leaving WGN? It is leaving. WGN is adding Moesha and Sex and the City. Fear Factor and King of the Hill already airs on FX. That '70s Show starts this fall.

I think Lifetime should add Facts of Life to their line-up instead of Will & Grace :)
