Today a Thunder knocked out my Internet and Cable and I almost passed out-lol I can do without one but not both. It was out all afternoon but I was able to get it back on after 5 hours.

When they knock out the cable and internet, hell...when they knock out the power for 2 hours or more..Yes, they are annoying. Especially, when they wake me up in the middle of the night.

They are fun EXCEPT when they knock out Cable and Internet. Solomon... try living down here where storms are a daily occurrence. Last summer there was several outages from storms and I almost died.

I don't mind thunderstorms. Just along as the cable and electric doesn't go out.

I love thunderstorms!! Once at night the power went out and there was a full moon out so it was cool to have the moon as the only light we had outside. Plus when the power goes out at night, you can see the stars MUCH better!! It's really pretty. :)

 They're a real pain in the ass when they knock the power out for a few hours. But aside from that I've always loved a thunderstorm, especially late at night.

I love thunderstorms! They are so exciting!(as long as they are not threatening) Well, we have a generator hooked up ready to take over in case of a power outage. So I do not worry about that! In fact in over the 30 years we that have lived in this house I could count on one hand the severe power outages we have had. You see in my area the power lines are underground. But there have been the occasional time that a transformer somewhere was knocked out and we lost power but it very rarely happens. But we are ready with our generator just in case!

Nope. I disagree about thunderstorms being annoying.

I LOVE them anytime of the year. Just the lit-up skies and the rattling thundering noises makes me sit and ponder about events in my life. Difficult to explain, but they make me feel at ease. ;)

Mosquitos are by far the most annoying thing. Humidity can be a bastard, too.

there's a bunch of moths on my screen door. They're kind of cute, they look like mini hamsters with wings and feelers.

I was attacked by a moth last night while I was sitting at the computer. They're disgusting. :barf:

I wish it would rain. Thunderstorms are nice, as well. If the power goes out, well... so be it.

I think they're fun if you have someone to talk to.... but I wouldn't like them as much if I were alone.

*SHUDDER* Ewwww! I had a traumatic experience with moths when I was about 8 years old. I wasn't scared of them before that, but now, geesh. I'm getting a little better about it, but they still give me goosebumps.

The thing that
I hate most about Summer in Michigan is daylight savings time! We voted it down 4 times but the the Michigan supreme court legalized anyway! There is something rather un-natural about it being still being semi-daylight at 10:00 PM . It had killed the drive-in movie theaters here and also at that time at night it should be dark! I am an early sleeper and DST is not good for me!

I know. It was still partially daylight today at the Wyandotte Fireworks show after 10pm. Even at 11pm there was still a slight tint of light in the west part of the sky. Kinda cool though.

If you had told me sooner, I could have UPS'd you some of my rain! We had a super-wet June... 2" more rainfall than average. :cuss: And guess what...It's raining right now, as I type this.

One time I had a cassette of nature sounds and one side 1 was a thunderstorm........ I swear it was done in analogue...... It sounded real like there was actually a thunderstrom outside!

I dunno why I got rid of that tape.........

But internet, etc can be knocked out in the winter also by trees getting heavy snow on them and hitting the lines,etc.......
