This is a live-action "Batman" series, I'm pretending was made in the 1990's. That way I can have certain actors in certain rolls that I couldn't have if the show was current.

I've made some changes since I first made this thread. Here they are:

I've changed John Ritter's villain to the 60's television character Louie the Lilac. He'll come in the second season and date Poison Ivy. (Ritter's real life wife, although I don't think they were married then.)

That's why I chose Jason Alexander as the Penguin over Danny DeVito. Since DeVito was a TV star (Taxi) now (and then, too) he's a movie star.

I'm getting close to making the episode descriptions. First, a few things to know about the series, in advance. These things would be established into the pilot, but since I'm not writing a script, I'll just tell you, here.

-Bruce Wayne is a respected millionaire, with the money he inherited from his late parents.

-Bruce was raised by his butler, Alfred. At the time of the pilot, Alfred is the only person to know Bruce Wayne is Batman.

-Harvey Dent and Bruce Wayne have been best friends since their teenage years. After becoming Batman, Bruce considered telling Dent the truth, but didn't.

-Vicki Vale is a photo journalist and Bruce Wayne's girlfriend.

-Although Commissioner Gordon considers Batman a good guy, he doesn't like to call on him, unless he has to.

-Oswald Cobblepot is running for mayor and in the lead. No one knows he's a bad guy, yet. Because of his appearance, many citizens have given him the nickname, "Penguin", which he uses as his villain name. He dresses like the traditional Penguin of the comics (top hat and all). However, instead of hands, he has the flippers like in "Batman Returns".

-Batman has been protecting Gotham City for a couple of years.

One hour - I meant to say that, but just forgot. Also, it can be funny at times and very dramatic at other times. It would be primetime, so we could do more than "The Animated Series".

Episode 1. "The Bat-Man"

Gotham City, 1995 - Bruce Wayne is sitting in one of his rooms in Wayne Manor, watching Mayoral Candidate, Oswald Cobblepot on the news. Vicki Vale, Harvey Dent and Pamela Isly are all in the room with Wayne. It's kind of a double date. Bruce watches the TV in disbelief that Oswald is an honest man. Vicki defends Mr. Cobblepot and is backed up by Harvey and Pamela. After a few minutes, Harvey and Pamela leave. Bruce calls in Alfred to see them out. Vicki and Bruce decide to get intimate. As they begin to kiss, Bruce looks up, out the window, where the Bat Signal is in the sky. He pushes a button on his watch and Alfred comes into the room. He tells Bruce that he has an important meeting to go to. Vicki leaves the mansion while Bruce goes down to the Bat-Cave.

Bruce, now dressed as Batman, gets in the Batmobile and speeds over to the Police Headquarters. Commissioner Gordon is in his office, waiting. Batman enters. The two talk about Oswald Cobblepot. Gordon believes Cobblepot to be behind a recent murder - a young man, in his twenties, who was supporting the re-election of Mayor Hill. Batman decides to spy on The Penguin. So he goes undercover.

Now back at the Bat-Cave, Bruce puts on a disquise. He dyes his hair red, and puts on a fake beard. He wears some average looking clothes and heads over to Cobblepot's campaign headquarters. Bruce Wayne joins the campaign, in order to find out more. Once inside, he snoops around and finds an umbrella with gun powder on it and has what looks likes splots of blood. Bruce sneaks it out of the building and heads for home. With his Bat-Computer, he's able to find out if it's blood and what type it is.

At Police Headquarters, Commissioner Gordon and Harvey Dent are having a friendly conversation when Batman walks in with the umbrella. He tells them that blood was found on it and that it's actually a gun, disguised as an umbrella. Gordon gets the victim's blood type and it matches with the Bat-Computer's results. There aren't any handprints on the umbrella/gun, which isn't a surprise, since Penguin almost always wears gloves.

Bruce takes a time out, where he remembers his parents' murder. He walks over to a sidewalk, with two roses in his hands and stops. It goes into a flashback of Thomas and Martha Wayne, walking down the street late at night with Bruce tagging along (If you've seen the 1989 movie, it pretty much goes like that). A man comes out and shoots Martha, followed by Thomas. He looks down at Bruce, smiles, and runs off. Bruce stands there with his parents dead on the street. It cuts back to the current Bruce Wayne as he puts two roses on the spot where they died.

The next day, Bruce is on a date with Vicki Vale at a fancy restaurant. The waiter comes to their table and takes their order. Vicki gets up to go to the restroom. Bruce goes over to the waiter and asks him about the murder. He informs Bruce, that the victim, Tom Henderson was a new waiter and big supporter of Mayor Hill. Tom had planned to visit the Cobblepot Campaign Headquarters to give him a peice of his mind. Tom was smart, but had a temper problem and was quick to tell Cobblepot when he's wrong. Vicki comes back and sits at the table. Bruce excuses himself and goes to the payphone. He calls up Commissioner Gordon, using his Batman voice. The two believe that Tom Henderson went to Cobblepot's Campaign Headquarters to tell him off and Penguin, with his umbrella/gun shot and killed him. Gordon informs Batman that he plans on arresting Cobblepot. Bruce hangs up and goes back to the table. Harvey and Pamela arrive and they have a friendly conversation. The couple announce that they are now engaged to be married. Bruce and Vicki congratulate him. Harvey takes Bruce aside and asks him to be his best man. Bruce accepts and the two men hug.

We cut to Bruce Wayne, back at his mansion. Alfred informs him that the Bat-Signal has appeared in the sky. Wayne races to the Bat-Cave and drives the Batmobile to Police Headquarters. Once there, Commissioner Gordon tells Batman that when he tried to arrest Oswald Cobblepot, he grabbed an umbrella, which was actually a jet pack. The Penguin flew away, without a trace. Batman leaves the headquarters and uses a grappling hook to get on top of a building. There, he looks down on Gotham City. Suddenly and umbrella hits him on the back of the head. Batman falls down, but quickly turns around. The Penguin has the umbrella aimed at him. Batman kicks it out of his flippers. The two get into a fight (I'm not good at describing a fight scene). Three henchmen arrive on flying umbrellas as well. Batman battles them. He wins the fight and ties the henchmen up. He turns around to see Penguin in the sky, holding on to a flying Umbrella. Batman uses his grappling hook and aims it at Penguin's left foot. It shoots out and grabs onto him. Penguin lets go of the umbrella, which goes off by itself. Penguin swings around, screaming and hits the side of a building. Batman grabs his and uses his Bat-Cuffs. One of the henchman tells Batman that he'll testify in court that Penguin killed Tom Henderson, if it'll help him get out of jail faster.

In the end, Penguin is forced to trade his candidacy for Mayor, in exchange for a jail cell. Commissioner Gordon thanks Batman for his help. Later, when Bruce returns home, he finds Vicki there. She admits she was wrong about Oswald Cobblepot. He kisses her and invites her into his bedroom. He closes the door.

Notes: I couldn't come up with a criminal act for Penguin. So that's when I decided to make it murder.

Harvey Dent and Pamela Isly are now engaged. She has not yet become Poison Ivy. She's a little crazy and secretly has a dark side, but she doesn't have the ability to kill with her kisses.

Also joining the recurring character cast, Alan Alda as Mayor Hill. Knowing that he was going to be in the series, the pilot episode had posters of Alda as Mayor Hill in the background.
