I think Lyne Moody was going to play the role of Jenny if she wasn't offered a role in the short-lived show, That's My Mama in the Fall of 1974. When she played Jenny that was during the Spring of 1974 and I guess it was impressive enough to be offered a role on TMM.

And the reason why I say this about another being hot is that I have an episode of her on the Love Boat, and she has to be the most beautiful woman I have ever seen; she played a love interest of Isaac's, but her poise and her incredible beauty, she was far out of Isaac's league...

She played Irene on "Roots." She also played the only black female lead character on Knot's Landing (one of my fave soaps) along with a another black actor whose name I can't recall. He played her husband on the nighttime soap. That black actor died of AIDS several years ago. Many years ago. She would have been better on the Jeffersons than Belinda. For a couple of reasons I never like Belinda. From the very first time I had seen her, and man, that was when I was young. Not a kid, but not a teen either. I knew back then Belinda was nothing to look at personally. As for her acting, it stunk. It was mediocre. Also, I don't know if it was her voice or lack of acting ability but she seemed to shout out her lines. Another drama queen graduate. Her character annoyed the hell outta me, but then again, I think it had to do with the way Belinda played it. Awful.

Well, that may have been then, but she sure had a hell of a performance on Roots. She probably got better with time. I believe she is much better at drama than anything comedy.

Oh yeah she did a good job. She was awesome.
Her portrayal on Roots was phenomenal. She is a great actress. Maybe it's best she didn't do the Jeffersons, she went on to do Roots, Knots Landing, Hill Street Blues (one episode I believe) she made a name for herself. Alot of people know her by her looks, not really her name.
