Why did the Fonz call the men's room at Arnold's his office? Was it because he needed a place to give Richie and the other guys advice on girls or that he needed to do work in there? Did he have branch offices?
If Bachman Turner Overdrive had been playing in there, they could've played Takin Care of Business. Too bad he didn't have a cell phone, fax machine, a computer or cd player in his, like we got today.

It was his office so he could have a place to talk to the guys and fix his hair. Before it was the bathroom his office was the photo booth. Do you get it kinda?

The Fonz often held conferences in his office with the guys about different topics.
I've heard he sometimes took someone in there and beat someone up if that guy did something he didn't like. Of course had Bachman Turner Overdrive been around, they could've played Taking Care of Business for the Fonz.
I think it started out as a joke. As in: if two people need to talk privately.
"Step into my office"
Whether it be a broom closet or men's room. In this case it happened to be the men's room at Arnold's. It obviously caught on as part of the show.
