I know that. "SpySheriff" is dangerous. Be careful.

 There isn't a nastier Hell on earth than when the computer crashes and every thing you do to try to remedy the problem doesn't work! "Now press Enter and you will be successful" then BOOM the screen starts flashing Warning Messages at 6,000 miles an hour! It turns into a Twilight Zone on Acid episode!

My suggestion is to go to the Stompsoft website and they have some excellent software to keep your PC healthy. I don't have time to explain it here but I would suggest getting StompSoft's anti-virus software, and their anti-spyware protection programs. I only have StompSoft's anti-spyware program and it continuously monitors the 'Net for potential spyware and lets you know when it's found. It's called "Spyware X-Terminator" and it is terrific.
Also, you can get a free virus scan online and there's no need to download. It's called "Housecall" by Trend Micro. One last item, I have Norton Anti-virus software and it works well for me.
Here are the sites with the best anti-virus, anti-spyware protection found so far:
Housecall by Trend Micro:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
Norton Anti-Virus:
http://www.symantec.com
You can get Internet security and it does good work also
StompSoft:
http://www.stompsoft.com
Hope all this helps! :)
Nice to have you back! "Full House and More" is fine! :)

It's nice to be back, my board has a patriotic theme with fireworks in the background. For those of you have Internet Explorer, there was no fireworks in the background. Only the blue background. Firefox and Netscape has fireworks in it. I hope I will get my anti-virus fix. There's only one thing I might say Bossradio93, "Full House" and More is changing. Maybe. Soon "Full House" and More is getting a new name according to the picture I created on my board.

I only have StompSoft's anti-spyware program and it continuously monitors the 'Net for potential spyware and lets you know when it's found. It's called "Spyware X-Terminator" and it is terrific. You would be better off staying AWAY from Spyware X-terminator, which is at best just a poor spyware-removal program, but at worst it has been accused of sheltering spyware associated with its affiliated companies and ripping off definition files from legitimate spyware-removal programs. Save your $22.30 and try one of the excellent FREE programs like Spybot S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/), AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/), Spywareblaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html), or MS Antispyware (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=321CD7A2-6A57-4C57-A8BD-DBF62EDA9671&displaylang=en&Hash=6RF588D) (or better yet, just use ALL of them - they ARE free).
at least read one of the many bad reviews about Spyware X-terminator, like this one from PCMagazine (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1829272,00.asp?kc=PCRSS02129TX1K0000530):
Spyware X-terminator 2005
EDITOR'S RATING: POOR
REVIEW DATE: 06.19.05
Spyware X-terminator 2005 - StompSoft Inc. http://www.stompsoft.com
BOTTOM LINE: Despite its tough-guy name, Spyware X-terminator was completely ineffective at blocking spyware and did a poor job of removing spyware from an infested system. It offers no data about found threats beyond a severity level rating. We can't recommend it, especially given the number of superior products available.
PROS: Log file lists all spyware and traces along with disposition; blocks some hijack attempts.
CONS: Removed little spyware in testing; blocked none; no local or online information about threats beyond severity level.
