LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Hollywood couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who battled each other on screen in the action film "Daredevil," have married and are expecting their first child, their publicists said on Thursday.

No further details were provided, but Us Weekly magazine reported that the couple tied the knot on Wednesday at the Parot Cay resort in the Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos, and that their baby is due this fall.

Affleck, 32, celebrated his last days as a single man with a bachelor party on Friday while Garner, 33, finished shooting her upcoming movie, "Catch and Release," in Vancouver, the magazine said.

Among the guests at the wedding, according to Us Weekly, was actor Victor Garber, who is Garner's co-star on the ABC television drama "Alias."

Affleck and Garner first worked together on the 2001 film "Pearl Harbor" and co-starred in the 2003 film based on the Marvel comics superhero "Daredevil," leading to Garner's big-screen spinoff role in this year's "Elektra."

The couple were widely reported to have begun dating last year, months after Affleck and former girlfriend Jennifer Lopez called off their highly publicized engagement.

By contrast, Affleck and Garner have maintained a low profile to their relationship, with their representatives steadfastly refusing to acknowledge reports that they had become engaged or were expecting a baby.

Garner filed for divorce from her first husband, actor Scott Foley, in 2003, after 2 1/2 years of marriage.

I think they make a good couple... I think they compliment each other well. I'm happy for 'em!

I agree! I don't see what the big deal is on either of them - especially her - I don't find her all that attractive at all.

However, Jennifer is pretty. She is intelligent too. That is why I can't imagine for the life of me what she could possibly see in Ben.

Especially when he always seems to have the "cookie of the month". It's like he's just desperate to get married or something. I swear none of them go into it with the thinking that its for a lifetime. :rolleyes:

My husband thinks Jennifer's pretty, and I've tried - really I have! But I just don't see much about her. 'Course I'm like that with all the women he seems to go for - which really makes me wonder about myself considering he ended up with me...... :lol:

Ben Affleck...ehh, I don't like him that much, but Jennifer Garner is one of my favorite actresses and I watch Alias every week, and Ben feels the need to ALWAYS come on the set which makes it awkward between Jennifer and Michael and now she wants Michael to leave (which is a completely selfish thing to do) and it's just going to kill the show that has been dying since second season anyways. And she's pregnant also blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

you can tell Garner is nowhere the manipulative possessive brat that J. Lo was.

It was pretty telling that for the first public appearence after the split of Bennifer #1, Ben was wearing jeans and a t-shirt, because J. Lo kept trying so hard to make him a metrosexual, she did the same with Cris Judd too (I heard she kept begging him to grow his hair out too), suddenly as soon as he broke up with her, you saw him wearing jeans and sneakers, lol. J. Lo is the type she wants to make her men be what SHE wants them to be, even tho Cris and Ben both proved as soon as they broke up that J. Lo didn't want them as they were and tried to mold them to HER ideal man.

Jennifer Garner is very pretty, but Ben's little soldiers have helped to kill Alias. Ohh well.
